Answer: Darwin

In 1974, the city of Darwin was struck by Cyclone Tracy. Singing duo 'Bill and Boyd' had a hit with the song comemorating the disaster. Incidentally, the song was so popular that the 'Hoodoo Gurus' released a song 'Tojo never made it into Darwin' detailing WWII events in the city.
