Nairobi is the capital and largest city of Kenya, in eastern Africa. The equator runs through the middle of the country, but Nairobi is about 100 Kilometres south of that line.

Peru JUST qualifies for this quiz, with the equator a mere 4kms from the northern tip of the country. If you visit this very diverse country, you could visit Lake Titicaca, the highest lake in the world, or the ancient Incan city of Machu Picchu.

'WELL' in 'GT ON' equals Wellington. The capital of New Zealand, it has the distinction of being the world's southernmost capital. It is located at the southern end of the South Island, and is the second largest city on that island. Auckland is at the northern end and has a much larger population.
