Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Take a look at my picture very closely and guess which chocolate bar I am?

Answer: Twix

Two biscuit fingers, topped with caramel and then covered with milk chocolate. First manufactured in Britain in 1967, different flavours have since been added to the original chocolate bars including mint and orange.
2. Which of these contains crumbly milk chocolate?

Answer: Flake

One of the earliest chocolate bars created by Cadbury's in 1920, the Flake bar is pure chocolate indulgence. A very successful advertising campaign in the 1970s saw us singing the jingle "Only the crumbliest, flakiest chocolate, tastes like chocolate never tasted before".
3. Which of these chocolate bars shall I take for a day out in the country?

Answer: Picnic

Cold finger food, salads and soft drinks normally accompany us on a picnic into the countryside. People who could afford a treat also took along a chocolate bar called Picnic. First introduced in 1958, it contains nougat, caramel, peanuts and puffed rice. Yum!
4. I am a classic British confectionery that has been given a different shape. What am I?

Answer: Creme Egg Twisted

Cadbury's Creme Egg was a popular choice at Easter, but people wanted something they could eat all year round. The same filling of white and yellow fondant was given a different shape in 2008 when it was made into a confectionery bar with a twisted chocolate exterior.
5. This delicious honeycomb chocolate bar is called what?

Answer: Crunchie

People have been crunching into the Cadbury's Crunchie bar since 1929. Filled with a chewy honeycomb centre, a similar bar is manufactured in Australia called Violet Crumble, made by Nestle.
6. Which of these confectionery bars contain creamy white chocolate and nothing else?

Answer: Milkybar

Milkybar contains all natural ingredients including cocoa butter, cow's milk and vegetable fat. Manufactured since the 1930s, it has been a popular snack for children, mainly due to another successful advertising campaign, always with a young blond haired boy dressed as a cowboy.
7. Chewy, nutty and chocolatey describes which confectionery bar?

Answer: Starbar

Made at Cadbury's (Ireland), the Star Bar contains chewy caramel and crushed hazelnuts. The name changed in 1989 for a short period to Peanut Boost, but went back to its original name in 1994.
8. Velvet milk chocolate covers which of these confectionery bars with a hidden ripple of even more chocolate?

Answer: Time Out

"Everyone needs some Time Out" is the catchy slogan for this confectionery bar. Packaged in blue and red wrapping, the chocolate coated twin wafer bars conceal a ripple of milk chocolate.
9. Which of these chocolate bars can you crunch into to get a centre containing puffed rice?

Answer: Toffee Crisp

Manufactured by Nestle since 1963, the puffed rice and chewy toffee filling is coated with creamy milk chocolate. The combination of chocolate and puffed rice, or Rice Krispies, has always been a favourite combination for children and adults alike.
10. Hazelnuts and nougat are the key ingredients to which of these chocolate bars?

Answer: Topic

Hazelnuts, nougat and chewy caramel are coated with milk chocolate to make this filling snack. It is very similar to the Snickers bar also manufactured by Mars, Incorporated, and very popular in the UK.
