The Wood Elves are the descendants of High Elf explorers who decided to stay in Ahtel Loren instead of returning to the Elven island of Ulthuan. The Wood Elves now have their own society, harmonious with nature. They recognize Ariel and Orion, two feral forms of the Elven gods of harvest and hunting, Isha and Kurnous.

The Wood Elves function in a free and non constricting way, and most of them are proficient in warfare, well able to defend their homes against invasion. They are backed up in defense by the forest spirits such as Dryads and Treemen, as well as beasts of the wood.
