1. Who is Norma's younger man?

Answer: Joe

Norma Desmond from "Sunset Boulevard" who falls for the much younger Joe Gillis.

He does stay with her but only for the free ride.

When he tells her he's leaving, at the end, she kills him.
2. Who is one of Rose's love interests?

Answer: Alex

Rose Vibert from "Aspects Of Love" and Alex Dillingham.

Rose and Alex have a passionate tryst at the beginning of the musical.

She then meets and marries his Uncle George.

When George dies at the end of the musical, 17 years later, she attempts to win Alex back.
3. With whom is Dinah in love?

Answer: Greaseball

Dinah the Dining Car from "Starlight Express" and Greaseball the diesel engine.

Dinah begins the show with Greaseball, he 'uncouples' her to race with Pearl, and she competes with Electra to try and make him jealous.

She takes him back at the end of the show when he apologises.

Rocky is a box car that she has no connection with.
4. Which of these men is Mary in love with?

Answer: John

Mary and John are from "The Beautiful Game".

They fall in love not long after the beginning of the show and get married at the start of Act Two.

All is well until John helps out a friend which eventually leads to his imprisonment and a change in his beliefs.

Upon his release he leaves Mary and their son to join the IRA in England.

Del is the Protestant boy that Christine is in love with.
5. Christine sings a love duet with this person.

Answer: Raoul

Christine Daaé from "The Phantom Of the Opera" and Raoul the Vicomte de Chagny.

Christine and Raoul knew each other as children and meet again after Christine's first solo singing performance at the Opera House.

Raoul has just become the new patron and recognises her from his box seat.

He goes to meet her after the show and a wonderful romance blossoms.

There's just one small problem - somebody else wants Christine...
6. Guilietta loves this man but does not end up with him.

Answer: George

Giulietta Trapani and George Dillingham from "Aspects Of Love".

Giulietta is having an affair with George before he meets and falls in love with Rose.

George goes back to Giulietta after Rose spends the night with his nephew Alex.

Rose, however, wants George and he again leaves Giulietta and marries her.

At the end of the show, at George's funeral, Giulietta meets and falls in love with Alex.
7. Laura falls in love with this man while promised to another.

Answer: Walter

Laura Fairlie from "The Woman In White" and Walter Hartwright.

Laura is a rich young heiress.

Walter is the drawing teacher who is engaged to tutor her and her sister Marion.

Laura and Walter fall in love but Marion sends Walter away - telling him that Laura is promised to Sir Percival Glyde.

Laura does marry Percival but after his death, and many other strange events, she does end up with Walter.
8. Who does Pearl finally realise she loves?

Answer: Rusty

Pearl the Observation Car from "Starlight Express" and Rusty the steam engine.

Pearl has promised to race with Rusty but breaks her promise to him while she searches for her 'dream train'.

She races the first heat with Electra, the brand new electric train.

She then switches to Geaseball, the macho young diesel train, for the uphill final.

In the downhill final, when Greaseball disconnects her, Rusty gives up first place to stop and rescue her and she finally realises that he IS her dream train.

Dustin is the Big Hopper who carries freight and races with Rusty.
9. Who is Candy's boyfriend?

Answer: Amos

Candy and Amos are from "Whistle Down The Wind".

Candy is Earl's daughter, a young African American who is seeing a 'white boy' in a small Louisiana town in 1959.

Amos is the towns teenage rebel who is Candy's boyfriend but also has a crush on Swallow - the lead girl.

They both want out of the restrictions placed on them by small town life.

Amos promises to take her away with him but gets caught up helping Swallow and is hours late in meeting her.

In revenge she tells the townsfolk about the man in Swallow's barn.

Boone is Swallow's father.
10. This couple made a formidable union - Eva and...?

Answer: Juan

María Eva Duarte de Perón from "Evita" and Juan Domingo Perón.

Love, power, ambition, greed - it has all the hallmarks of a great epic romance but the musical deals more with their singular ambitions uniting to form a very powerful union than as a love story.

The 1996 film adaption included a new song titled "You Must Love Me", sung after her diagnosis, where she believes Perón loves her for herself and not just for what she can do for him.

Ché is the narrator/social commentator of the show.
