Answer: Russia

This should have been an easy one. The entire book's basis was Orwell's criticism of the Russian Governement.
2. Who did Old Major represent?

Answer: Marx

Old Major was the one who inspired the animals to rebel, just as Karl Marx, the founder of Communism, inspired the Russian Revolution.
3. Who did Mr. Jones represent?

Answer: Czar Nicholas II

The owner of the farm that was ousted by the animals represents the Czar, who was eventually overthrown.
4. What did the Rebellion represent?

Answer: The Russian Revolution

Once again, the paralells here can obviously be seen.
5. What did Old Major's teachings of Animalism represent?

Answer: Communism

Old Major teaching Animalism parallels Karl Marx teaching Communism.
6. Who does Napoleon represent?

Answer: Stalin

After the rebellion occurs, Napoleon rises to power by force, just as Stalin did with Russia.
7. Who does Snowball represent?

Answer: Trotsky

Snowball had good ideas and intentions for Animal Farm, but was forced out by Napoleon, just as Trotsky was forced out by Stalin. Snowball was also blamed for everything that went wrong, also a similarity shared with Trotsky.
8. Who did Moses the Raven represent?

Answer: The Russian Orthodox Church

Moses was Jones's pet, such as the church was to the Czar, to give to people something to believe in. After the rebellion, Moses left, just as religion was outlawed in Russia, but returned later once again and was allowed by the pigs to stay so the animals wouldn't get discouraged.
9. What did Sugarcandy Mountain represent?

Answer: Heaven

This was the place Moses always talked about that the animals would go to after they died, such as Heaven was talked about by the Russian Orthodox Church.
10. What did the Windmill represent?

Answer: Stalin's 5 year plan

The windmill was what the animals constantly worked on, just as Stalin's plan was what the working class strove for. The windmill got destroyed twice, which also represents the plan's flaws.
11. What did Foxwood, owned by Mr. Pilkington, represent?

Answer: England

This was a neighboring farm which Napoleon betrayed, then asked for help from, after being betrayed by Fredrick. The real life scenario: England was betrayed by Russia, then Russia asked them for help when they were attacked by Germany.
12. What did Pinchfield, owned by Mr. Frederick, represent?

Answer: Germany

Once again, Animal Farm betrays Foxwood, is betrayed by Pinchfield, asks Foxwood for help. Russia betrays England, is betrayed by Germany, asks England for help.
13. What did the dogs represent?

Answer: The Secret Police

The dogs were trained by Napoleon shortly after birth, and he used them to take over and as a scare tactic, just as Stalin used the Secret Police to keep the working class in order.
14. What did Mollie the horse represent?

Answer: The Bourgeoisie

Mollie was not interested in the rebellion and cared only about herself and what humans thought of her, which led her to leave Animal Farm. The Bourgeoisie (rich-upper class) was not interested in the Russian Revolution and thought only of themselves and their money and soon left Russia.
15. What did the pigeons represent?

Answer: Spies

The pigeons were sent out to stir up rebellions on other farms just as spies were sent out to try to cause rebellions in other countries. I hope you enjoyed the quiz!
