The promsed land, given to men almost in sight of the blessed realm of the elves, sank into the sea as a result of men's corruption.
2. What forest does Greenwood the Great get renamed into?

Answer: Mirkwood

After Sauron sets up camp and the dark things come, the forest is no longer green and gay.
3. What's the center of the Shire?

Answer: Three-Farthing Stone

The three-farthing stone was as near the center of the Shire as any other place could be.

Morgoth made a fortress at Carn Dûm, at the westernmost point of the Mountains of Angmar, and it became his capital and was one of the feared places in the Middle Earth. It was occupied by the witch-king, later to become Lord of the Nazgûl. It was west-northwest of Mount Gundabad, which was the northernmost peak of the Misty Mountains.

They stretched all the way south to Methedras in the south, which was just north-northwest of Isengard.

Answer: Lindon

Morgoth was loath to cross the Ered Luin, because of the strength and splendor of Gil-Galad and his elves. But after the War of Wrath, parts of Lindon sunk under the water. Lindon means in Quenya "land of the singers" and was all that remained of the peninsula of Ossiriand after the War of Wrath when most of the land of the seven rivers sunk into the sea.
