Darcy is an Irish Catholic, and thus by marrying him, Georgiana will remove herself from the line of succession. This does not concern her very much because as the 34th/35th in line, she had little chance of becoming Queen. Only in "Heirs and Graces", the book following the engagement, when her mother tells her, does Georgiana realize that she can do such a thing. Previously, she was under the assumption that she needed the Royal Family's approval.

Fig is grateful that Georgiana came to help, but by the next novel, she is back to her usual self.

One interesting part of "Naughty in Nice" involves Fig's second pregnancy. Georgiana understands how Binky was able to get Fig "in the family way" because of his need of an heir. But the second heir is a mystery to her as she deems Fig undesirable. She humorously quips that it must have been Binky who had to lie back and think of England.
