Clary celebrates her birthday with Jace in the greenhouse later on in the book.

Clary discovers this when Luke comes to save her from Hodge Starkweather, after his (Luke's) 'betrayal'. This betrayal was a mistake on Clary's behalf, after she and Jace watched Luke lie to protect her.

After he saves her, Luke brings his pack to Renwick's to battle Valentine and his army of Forsaken warriors.

Answer: Luke's truck

Magnus enchants Luke's old pick-up truck, allowing Luke to drive their group out to Valentine's ship, for yet another battle. Magnus cannot join this particular battle, because he was focusing on keeping the truck afloat, which took a lot of effort.

Alec then falls off of Valentine's ship, and Magnus uses his last ounce of strength to save him. Alec then gives Magnus his own strength, so he can continue keeping the truck above the water.

Answer: Alicante

Alicante is the capital city - in fact, it is the only city! It is commonly known as 'The City of Glass'.

We first visit Alicante in "City of Glass", where the Shadowhunters must travel there for a big meeting about the oncoming war. Clary travels into the city illegally after being left behind by her fellow demon hunters.

Answer: Jonathan Morgenstern

Jocelyn confirms that Jace and Clary are in fact, not siblings. She reveals that Clary's brother is actually Jonathan Morgenstern. Jonathan had been posing as Sebastian Verlac, a Shadowhunter whom he'd killed and taken the identity of.

After this revelation, Jonathan was still known widely as Sebastian Morgenstern.

Answer: Jordan

It was her ex boyfriend Jordan Kyle. He was unaware of what he was doing on the night she was bitten, having been his first transformation. Later he found refuge with the Praetor Lupus, which is where he found his way back to Maia again (who had, by this time, gotten used to being a werewolf and was a part of a pack).

In "City of Lost Souls", Maia finally forgives Jordan for what he did, and they get back together.

Answer: Asmodeus

After spending quite a while wondering who Magnus's father is, we finally find out in the final book, when Clary and her friends go on a rescue mission to Edom. Asmodeus rules the land with Lilith.

Asmodeus sends the Shadowhunters back to Idris, but with a price. Simon gives himself up to save Magnus, which results in him becoming a mundane once more. This is a huge point in the book, especially for Clary. Not much else is ever mentioned of Magnus's father.

Answer: Jace

Lilith is in control of Jace, and she makes him betray Clary by delivering her to the rooftop. Jace tricks Clary by saying that he wants to put on her a rune of marriage to signify his love, but as he starts to draw on her arm, she realizes that this rune doesn't speak of love. It's too late for her to make him stop, so he gets away with it.

Clary ended up helping Simon and Jace defeat Lilith (not forever, of course), after not listening to what Jace told her to do.

Answer: He drank Jace's blood on Valentine's boat

In "City of Glass", Simon lay dying on Valentine's ship. Jace managed to save him, by letting Simon drink his blood. Being one of Valentine's human experiments, Jace has an extra large amount of Angel blood in him, thus causing Simon to have the power of walking in the daylight.

We first find out that he is not affected by the sun on the way back from the battle, on the back of Luke's truck.

Answer: Jocelyn and Luke's marriage

Let us rejoice in the fact that Jocelyn and Luke finally got married! There is a big celebration, with Shadowhunters, werewolves, and even vampires coming to Luke's farmhouse for a party.

This is a special moment for Clary, who finally meets the warlock Tessa Gray (the main character of the prequel to this series, "The Infernal Devices"). Simon also shows up, which is a surprise to everyone, as Asmodeus wiped his memories of the Shadow world. With a little help from Magnus and Isabelle earlier that day, he would be getting back his memories in no time.
