Owen Meany is one of the most incredible literary creations. He is a small underdeveloped boy with a squeaky voice. He spends his childhood working towards the one big moment of crucial importance (that he has seen in a dream) where he knows his little stature and childish voice will mean the difference between life and death... I don't want to give anything away as I strongly recommend you read this fabulous book.

3. In the Booker Prize winning 'The Life of Pi' what animal is Pi eventually left alone with on the boat?

Answer: Tiger

All these animals end up on the small life raft after the ship goes down but only Richard Parker, the tiger, survives the long journey with Pi. Written by Yann Martel.

He sacrifices himself for the love of a woman who he knows will never love him back; by letting Charles live and dying in his place he feels he can atone for the disolute life he has lived and only then become worthy of the love he feels for Lucie Manette.
