Answer: Gelion

Ossiriand was home of the Green-elves. The seven rivers were Gelion and its tributaries: Ascar, Thalos, Legolin, Brilthor, Duilwen and Adurant. They flowed from the Blue Mountains. Gelion was Ulmo's (who was nicknamed the Lord of Waters) second favourite river, after Sirion, of the western world. On the Green Isle in the river Adurant Beren and Luthien lived after their return from the Dead.
2. Seven Gates barred the way to which land?

Answer: Gondolin

Seven Gates barred the way to the Hidden Kingdom of Gondolin, surrounded by the Encircling Mountains, where Turgon, High King of Noldor, ruled. Gondolin was ultimately attacked by Morgoth and destroyed.
3. Who was the maker of Palantiri, the Seven Seeing Stones?

Answer: Feanor

Feanor was regarded as the most gifted of the Elves. The Elves gave Palantiri to Amandil, Elendil's father. Elendil and his sons, Isildur and Anarion, brought them from Numenor, after the destruction of the kingdom. Elendil took three Stones, and each of his sons, two. Isildur and Anarion founded the kingdoms of Gondor and Arnor, where they jointly ruled.

When they looked into these Stones, they were able to see things far off both in place and in time.
4. Who hung in the sky the Seven Stars, the Sickle of the Valar?

Answer: Varda

Seven Stars were hung in the northern sky by Varda (called the Queen of the Stars), the wife of Manwe (the most important of the Valar), as a challenge to Melkor (who later became the first Dark Lord under the name of Morgoth) and a sign for his fall.
5. Aule, one of the Valar, couldn't wait for the coming of the Children of Iluvatar and made his own children. At the beginning there were seven of them: what were they called?

Answer: Fathers of the Dwarves

Iluvatar, the creator of the World, was angry with Aule for making the Dwarves, because it was his Children - the Elves - who were supposed to be the Firstborn. Therefore he made Aule lay the Dwarves to rest and wait for the coming of the Firstborn.
6. Who inflicted seven wounds on Morgoth in a duel to which he challenged him?

8. Tuor, before his departure to Gondolin, saw what seven birds flying south?

Answer: swans

Tuor, after his escape from Hithlum, where he was enslaved, came to Nevrast and remained there for a long time. But when he saw seven great swans flying south, he understood that it was a sign for him to depart. So he followed them and arrived at the halls of Vinyamar, where he found arms left by Turgon. There he also met Voronwe, who guided him to Gondolin.
9. Who was seven years old when Morgoth, the Dark Lord, attacked Gondolin?

Answer: Earendil

Earendil was son of Tuor and Idril Turgon's daughter. The attack brought about the fall of Gondolin. However, Tuor and his family managed to escape through a secret passage. Later, Earendil sailed to Aman - the Blessed Realm to ask the Valar for help in the war against Morgoth. His wish was granted and Morgoth was overthrown.
10. Who was the oldest of the seven sons of Feanor?

Answer: Maedhros
