Jacob does tell Bella he loves her throughout the book and he kisses her as well; however, on the very last page he decides to run away as a wolf. Bella's engagement ring is Edward's mothers, her dress is new and designed partly by Alice, she borrows Alice's garter from her wedding to Jasper and her parent's gave her the hair slide, which used to belong to her Grandma Swan, as a wedding gift. They changed the original paste stones to sapphires so Bella would have something blue.

It is said throughout the books that blue is Edward's favourite colour on Bella.
