Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "The people of Adumar have no respect for career politicians. A sensible attitude, in my opinion-though if you tell anyone I said that, I'll merely have to deny it." Who said this?

Answer: Airen Cracken

This was in the beginning of the book, when Cracken was talking Wedge into going on the mission, by explaining the Adumari love of pilots. Except, Wedge still tried to get out of it, a lot.
2. "Just be his usual, obnoxious self and let her (Iella) shoot him down" What does Wes say to Wedge after he says that to him?

Answer: "I resent the implication that she would. That any woman would."

Wes was being his usual women-chasing self. And in his crazy (but loveable) way, he expressed his disbelief that he could get turned down by a member of the opposite sex.
3. Who lamented that giving Wes an Adumari blastsword would be like giving a lightsaber to a two-year-old?

Answer: Tycho Celchu

Wes felt that he just HAD to have the Adumari weapon, which he decribed as "a blaster you have to hit people with". Tycho then told Wedge: "Don't give him a new kind of weapon, it would be like giving a lightsaber to a two-year-old."
4. "There are three types of dress clothing. The kind that offends the wearer, the kind that offends the viewer, and the kind that offends everybody. I'm going for the third type. Fair is fair." This quote was said by Wes Janson.

Answer: False

No. Hobbie Klivian said that line, after picking out the most garish outfit for the introduction to court. Wedge described the outfit as so bright and garish that it hurt to look at it for long.
5. "That's not an answer. That's Intelligence gibberish covering up an answer." Who was Wedge talking to here?

Answer: Iella Wessiri

It was Iella. Wedge had asked if the two of them had stopped being friends, she said they had. Wedge asked why and Iella gave a cryptic answer that really said nothing.

Of course, we figured out later she was really trying to push Wedge away because she was scared about her feeling for him...
6. Wedge: "Sithspit! What's that?" Wes: "That's the sun, Wedge. It's after dawn." Wedge: "Well, it offends me. Turn it off." Wes: "It's a hundred thirty, hundred forty million klicks from here..." Wedge: "Go up in your X-wing and shoot it down for me." When did this happen?

Answer: After Wedge spent the night at Iella's

After the night at Iella's. Wedge hadn't really realised that he'd stayed that long. And he wasn't exactly expecting the brightness.
7. "Your orders are simple. I punch. You suffer. Got it? (pause) Forgot to mention, on some worlds people fight with their feet, too. Feet, hands, rocks, pure cussed willpower - they're warriors. You, you're just a dilettante." Who was Wes talking to?

Answer: Thanaer ke Sekae

Thanaer ke Sekae. Wes thought that was about time that someone told him that the Adumari love of duelling was pathetic, and it was really making fun of those who HAD to fight.

Cheriss ke Handi was the Rogue's native guide, Tomar Darpen was the regional head of NRI, and Peilak was a name I made up.
8. Finish off this quote. Wedge: "Good screaming, Hobbie." Hobbie: "I practice a lot. Anytime Wes makes plans for the squadron, for example..."

Answer: Anytime a Corellian cooks for us.

This was a dig at Wedge's cooking, which is deadly, by the way. The responce for that was death glares from Wes (for the first bit) and Wedge.
9. Iella: "What was that about?" Wedge: "She's just growing up. She's come along two, maybe three years since the other night." Iella: "That's good." Wedge: "Maybe we can figure out how to build a weapon out of the process and shoot Wes a few times." What was Wes' reply?

Answer: "I heard that."

This was on the way out of Cartann. Wes did look like he was asleep, his eyes were still closed after all. But he did hear them, and replied with "I heard that."
10. "More words than he's strung together at once since I've known him." Who was Tycho talking about here?

Answer: Hobbie Klivian

Hobbie was nearly at the edge of breaking point because he was sick of Adumar, and he wanted to just blow something up (how much time has he spent around Kell Tainer...) And usually, Hobbie is pretty quiet.
Can't be Wes, he always talks. Corran wasn't in this book, neither was Gavin.
