William killed and caused mass destruction. The vampires couldn't let William go free. William's punishment was imprisonment for all time. Viktor said William would be kept in a prison far away from Marcus. Marcus didn't even know where the vampires were keeping William.

At the beginning of the movie, in 1202 A.D., Marcus was a vampire who was trying to help his fellow vampires capture his brother William. William was a werewolf that was far out of hand. In the beginning of the movie we saw Marcus dressed in armor looking out over a lifeless village. Marcus was sitting with his fellow vampires who were surveying the damage William did. Marcus questioned what his brother had done.

Answer: Amelia

Amelia was the only female vampire elder. Amelia traded off leadership of the vampire coven with the two other elders, Viktor and Marcus. Amelia said that they should hurry and burn the bodies before the peasants turned into lycans. When the soldiers weren't fast enough, a battle broke out in the village. All the peasants began turning into lycans and killing the vampires.

William was the rouge lycan who had been sentenced to imprisonment for all time. William had grey skin with white fur. In the beginning of the movie, when William was in the process of being captured in the woods outside the village, he didn't go down without a fight. What finally brought William down was a spear through the leg. His punishment was imprisonment for all time.

Answer: When Marcus pulled him across the table.

Tanis was the vampires' historian. Viktor accused Tanis of spreading lies. Selene had exiled Tanis over three hundred years ago to a monastary built into the face of a rock wall. When Marcus went to Tanis' place deep in the woods, to find out where the keys to William's prison were, Tanis told Marcus that he didn't know anything at first.

When Marcus speared him in both shoulders and brought him across the table, Tanis suddenly remembered. When Tanis was done telling Marcus about the keys, Marcus killed him.

When Marcus was still asleep he was put in danger. Kraven was left in charge of Viktor's house while Viktor was asleep. Selene never understood why Viktor put Kraven in charge. At the beginning of the movie, Kraven brought his guards with him to where the elders slumbered in order to kill Marcus while he was still asleep. Kraven knew he couldn't kill Marcus when he was awake. Kraven had his guards pull the tomb from the ground while he himself stood back and watched.

When the tomb was out of the ground, Marcus wasn't in it.

In "Evolution" we saw Corvinus ask his men how many vampire bodies were found in the subway station after the shoot out. Corvinus' men said they found two vampires but no lycans. Corvinus was the father of Marcus and William. He was the one who gave Marcus and William the genes to become what they became.

When Corvinus found out that Viktor and Amelia were dead, he went down to the room their bodies were in. The bodies were kept in a dull room inside Corvinus' ship. He stood next to Lucian, the ruler of the lycan clan, and pulled open his jacket. Corvinus expected to find the key around Lucian's neck since that was where it had been for centuries. Next, he went to Viktor and sliced him open to reveal the other key attached to his chest bone.

Michael was the world's first hybrid and Selene's only ally. He was part vampire and part lycan. Michael at first didn't like the thought of drinking blood. Without regard to Selene's warning of human food, Michael went to the nearest town to get some real food. Once in the diner, Michael took one bite of his food and figured it was OK. On his fourth bite he started throwing up and got loud. That was how Michael drew the cops attention to him.

When the cops saw Michael's picture on the news, they drew their guns and told him not to move. Michael didn't fall on the floor. Selene was a vampire who had just found out that everything she ever knew was a lie. Selene was the heroine of the movie. Selene came to rescue Michael when she heard gun shots.

In the forest, when Selene and Michael were finished with the cops, Marcus swept down in front of them. Marcus, because he drank Kraven's blood and then had his memories, said to Selene, "I know what you've done Selene". Selene, while backing away, replied to Marcus with, "Viktor deserved his fate". Marcus knew about the death of the elder and said he agreed Viktor deserved his fate.

When Selene and Michael went to find Tanis' monestary, Selene told Michael Tanis was exiled over three hundred years ago. When Michael asked Selene, "What makes you so sure we'll find him now?" Selene told Michael that she was the one who exiled Tanis.

Selene and Michael both killed two lycans at Tanis' place. Selene killed one that came at her right when she fell into the trap tunnel. Selene killed the other one right after the first by throwing a knife. Michael killed one after it rammed into the car he was driving. He also killed one inside the tunnels.

When Selene and Michael finally got into Tanis' place they made Tanis tell them everything they wanted. Tanis told Selene that Viktor wasn't the first true vampire as she was led to believe. Marcus was the first true vampire, and William was the first lycan.

Marcus took Michael under an old dock by the water to get the key from him. Marcus impaled Michael through the chest on a broken pole. When Michael tried to move, Marcus impaled his hand. When Selene found Michael, he was dead. When Selene was in William's prison, Michael came back to life in the helicopter.

When Selene was talking to Corvinus in the office of his ship, she told Corvinus he himself should have killed Marcus and William. He told Selene that no matter what, Marcus and William were his sons and he couldn't kill them. Selene told Corvinus he was the only one older, and therefore probably the only one able to kill Marcus.
