The computer began acting very bizarrely, going to great lengths to defend against perceived threats to the mission, and to its own safety.

This pair made their name during the Depression, in the southwestern corner of the United States. Young and beautiful, they played a violent game, and died a violent death once the law finally caught up with them.
9. (1960) When Marion Crane stole $40,000, she thought she was about to embark on a new, better life. Unfortunately she chose to spend the night at the Bates motel, where the conflicted proprieter was torn between his physical attraction to her, and his attachment to his mother. Fortunately Marion's boyfriend and sister were not about to let her disappearance go unsolved.
10. (1968) When their ship crashed on a strange planet, the crew did not know what to expect. What they found was that another species ruled, and humans were treated as vermin, fit only for slavery, or better yet, extermination. Taylor's ability to speak (after his throat injury healed) finally convinced some of the scientists that he was more intelligent than they had supposed. Released to fend for himself, Taylor discovered a horrible truth about the origins of the planet.
