Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who said "Our enemies are united; they vow to destroy us. The Pirate Lords from the four corners of the Earth must stand together."?

Answer: Barbossa

Captain Barbossa was referring to the alliance (albeit a forced one) between the East India Trading Company (with the Royal Navy) and the crew of the Flying Dutchman. He said this to Jack near the beginning of the film while they were in Davy Jones' locker, to convince Jack to attend the meeting of the Brethren Court.
2. "This is madness!" "This is politics." This was an exchange between which two characters?

Answer: Elizabeth and Jack

These lines were said during the meeting of the Brethren at Shipwreck Cove. The pirates had begun to fight amongst themselves and Elizabeth did not think it was orderly conduct.
3. "And that was without a single drop of rum!" Who said this?

Answer: Jack

Jack said this during a confrontation between the Black Pearl and the Flying Dutchman, after he pulled off one of his trademark tricks; he propelled himself in a spectacular fashion from one ship to another with just a rope and a cannon. Right before he did this, Cutler Beckett told him he was mad and Jack replied "And thank God for that, because if I wasn't, this would never work."
4. Who burst out with "Stow it! Both of you! That is an order!"?

Answer: Pintel

After returning from Davy Jones' locker, Jack and Barbossa were arguing about which of them was the rightful captain of the Black Pearl, and Pintel yelled this at them. When they looked angry, Pintel quickly apologized and added that he just wanted to throw in his name if the captain issue was up for debate.
5. Who replied to a question with "I don't think now is the best time!"?

Answer: Elizabeth

This was what she answered when Will asked her once again to marry him. He asked her while they were in the middle of fighting the climactic battle against the Flying Dutchman and Royal Navy. She eventually agreed and Barbossa married them while they continued to fight.
6. Who proclaimed "I'm choosing a side."?

Answer: Norrington

Earlier in the film, Elizabeth had criticized Norrington for not staying true to one side of the struggle, after he had joined up with them in "Dead Man's Chest", and then betrayed them by giving the heart of Davy Jones to Cutler Beckett. In "At World's End", Norrington was an admiral in the Navy and was sailing under the command of Beckett.

A little later, he helped Elizabeth and the crew of the Empress escape from the brig of the Flying Dutchman, and when she asked him what he was doing, he said "I'm choosing a side." This choice, unfortunately, cost him his life.
7. In "At World's End", who said "It never would've worked out between us."?

Answer: Elizabeth

She said this to Jack after she married Will, towards the end of the movie. Jack replied "You keep telling yourself that, darling." Elizabeth's line was the same one that Jack had said to her in "The Curse of the Black Pearl", right before he escaped from Port Royal.
8. Who said "It's not about living forever, it's about living forever with yourself."?

Answer: Captain Teague

Captain Teague was revealed to be Jack Sparrow's father. These were his words of advice to Jack, spoken at Shipwreck Cove, during the meeting of the Brethren. Jack had been contemplating the idea of becoming the captain of the Flying Dutchman so that he could be immortal and live forever.
9. Who said this line? "Depends on the one day."

Answer: Will

This quote took place at the very end of the film. It was Will's reply after his father said "One day on land and ten years at sea. It's an awfully high price to pay." They were referring to the fact that Will had become the captain of the Flying Dutchman and could not step on land but for once every ten years; since he would have to be away from Elizabeth for so long, he had better make the one day count.
10. Who asked "Did no one come to save me just because they missed me?"?

Answer: Jack

He asked this to the entire crew shortly after they rescued him and the Pearl from Davy Jones' locker. He realized that Will came because he needed the Black Pearl to battle the Flying Dutchman, Barbossa needed Jack for the meeting of the Brethren Court as well as for his 'piece of eight', and Elizabeth felt too guilty about having sent him to his death in "Dead Man's Chest".

After he asked if anyone came to save him just because they missed him, there was a long pause and finally Jack the monkey raised his hand. Pintel, Ragetti, and Mr. Gibbs followed suit and Jack decided to go stand next to them.
