Carson (Ashley Benson) is listening to her iPod and dancing, when she gets knocked over by a woman with a pram. After helping her up, Penn (Michael Copon) asks during his conversation with Carson where she's from. She says "California, a place called Eden Hills."

Carson gets the nickname skids from Penn after the obviously visible skid marks on her shorts at their first meeting. Her first response when Penn says "You kind of got skid marks" is to say "Now the police can track down the stroller."

At the beginning of the film it looks like the instructors have their work cut out for them with the Prairie Dogs, but at the end of the film the Prairie Dogs' routine secures them third place.

The spirit stick being stolen causes the Sharks and Jets to take part in a dangerous Cheer Rumble in which half the members of both teams are injured and unable to compete. This leads to Brooke and Carson forging an unlikely alliance and creating the Shets. Shets is a suggestion made by Penn when they are trying to come up with a new team name after they decide to combine the teams.

Ruben asks Aeysha who taught her to sew and she names Martha Stewart. They are modifying the Sharks and Jets cheer leading outfits to make the new Shets cheer leading outfits.

Later we find out that this isn't true because during the confession scene Sarah confesses that she thinks cheer leading is dark.

Jennifer Tisdale is the older sister of Ashley Tisdale who is featured on the soundtrack for the movie.
