The song also plays later in the movie during the Toro's final routine at finals.

"Get Ready For This" plays a few times in the movie. Firstly when the choreographer Sparky Polastri enters the Rancho Carne Toros gymnasium, places a CD player on the ground, presses play, and performs an interesting dance routine. Secondly as we see the Toros learning their new routine from Sparky before he gets frustrated with them and breaks a wooden stool over a railing. Thirdly as Torrance is being interviewed at the state regionals, and the Toros are shocked to hear the song from their routine being used by another competing squad. Finally, as the Toros begin their routine at state regionals, already embarrassed because they are going to perform exactly the same routine that another squad has just performed.

Torrance approaches Cliff and tells him that she listened to his tape and love it. Torrance also tells Cliff that she broke up with Aaron because he didn't believe in her, but Cliff doesn't seem interested, turns round, and walks away, clearly still upset as Torrance yells after him "You believed in me".
