Answer: Hide and Clap

Christine was blindfolded by her sisters, Nancy and Cindy. They spun their sister around several times and then ran off to hide. The only clue Christine was allowed in the game was her sisters' clapping hands. They were allowed three claps during the game. Christine called out for her first clap and headed towards the front of the home. Her sister Cindy was sitting in front of her when she called for the second clap. Cindy did not clap and her mother told her she was a cheater. Christine eventually found her sister, Nancy, hiding in a closet.

Answer: Music Box

Cindy, April's older sister, ran outside to hang up a wind chime. Carolyn had told her daughter to tell April to come inside the house. Cindy saw April sitting on a tree in the backyard. She told her that their mother wanted them to come in. April was playing with a music box she had found.

The box was designed like a circus tent on the outside. Inside the box, there was a mirror with a swirl on it. It also had a clown that moved up and down when you turned the music box key. April looked in the mirror and then looked over her shoulder.

It looked like she had seen someone or something in the mirror's reflection. She turned back around and shrugged when they was nothing behind her.

Answer: Nurses

Debbie and Camilla had called on Ed and Lorraine Warren for help. They told the Warrens that they had allowed what they thought was the spirit of a deceased girl to inhabit their doll. They said they wanted to help the girl because they helped people for a living.

They told the Warrens they were nurses by profession. Ed and Lorraine revealed to Debbie and Camilla that it was a demonic entity, not a deceased person. Ed told the girls that the demon wanted to possess them and not the doll.

Answer: Carolyn met Ed and Lorraine at a local college.

Carolyn had attended one of the lectures the Warrens were giving. She met up with their assistant, Drew, after the lecture. Drew introduced the Warrens to Carolyn. Carolyn explained what had been happening in her home. She asked Ed and Lorraine to come to her house to investigate. Ed at first said that it was getting too late. Carolyn then told the Warrens she had five daughters and pleaded to the Warrens as one parent to another. Lorraine agreed to come and research their home.

Answer: Truck Driver

Roger drove a big rig for a living. He was an owner/operator of a Kemworth truck. He would often park the rig on the side of his home after he came home. One evening Roger was on the phone with his dispatcher. He was talking about how much he was going to get paid for a trip. Roger was telling the dispatcher that was half of what his normal rate was.

He took the job because he had an insurance payment due on the rig.

Answer: Cindy

Roger was downstairs and he heard a banging in the upstairs of the home. He was about to go upstairs when he saw his daughter, Andrea, on the stairs. Andrea told her father that Cindy was sleepwalking again. He went into Andrea's room and Cindy was banging her head against an armoire. Roger placed his hand between the armoire and Cindy's head.

He took her back to bed. Another night Andrea woke to Cindy once again banging her head against the armoire. Andrea put Cindy in her bed instead of taking her to her own room. Andrea looked on the top of the armoire and there was the deceased witch, Bathsheba.

Answer: Nancy was dragged around the room by her hair.

Nancy was in the living room when the hair on her head started to rise up. Suddenly she was pulled around the room by her hair. Nancy was screaming in pain as she was thrown into walls and the other people in the room. Lorraine ran and got a pair of scissors from another room.

She cut Nancy's hair to free her from the entity's grip. The entire episode was caught on film. The film was then presented to a local priest as evidence of a needed exorcism.

Answer: She hung herself from a large tree in her yard.

Bathsheba was a witch; she was related to a witch that was killed during the Salem witch hunt. She was caught by her husband sacrificing their seven-day-old child to Satan. Bathsheba ran out into her yard and climbed the tree. She cursed everyone who would try to own her land or live in her home.

She then placed a noose around her neck and hung herself. Her curse was in strong effect: several people who lived in the house or owned the land had died.

Answer: Vera Farmiga

Vera played the clairvoyant Lorraine Warren. She described her gift to Carolyn as being able to peek through a curtain into someone's life. In one scene, Carolyn picked up a picture of her family at the beach. Lorraine touched her hand while she was holding the picture.

She was able to see Carolyn's memory of that day. Carolyn told Lorraine that it was one of the best days of her life. When Lorraine first came to the Perron home she saw the entity attached to the members of the family. She told Lorraine and Roger that it was feeding off of them and their children.

Answer: James Wan

James did an exceptional job with this film. It reminded me a great deal of his film, "Insidious". Both of these films absolutely scared me in a way that I have not experienced in a long time. James does not use blood and gore to scare you, he uses more of a psychological aspect to scare you.

The scene in the basement where the ball was thrown absolutely terrified me. You couldn't see who had thrown the ball, but the fact that someone could be there was horrifying. He used a lot of things like this to make his movie scary.

The film was number one in its opening weekend. It beat out several higher budget films to take the number one spot.
