"The Comebacks" (2007) was the story of Lambeau Fields. Fields was a sports' coach who was always the loser. His friend, Freddie Wiseman, informed him about a college football coaching job at a college in Plainfolk, Texas coaching a team named the Comebacks.

His daughter rebelled against him by dating his wide receiver. After the Comebacks lost the first game, they won all their games and made the Toilet Bowl II. His daughter then started dating his quarterback. In Toilet Bowl II the Comebacks defeated Freddie Wiseman's team, the Unbeatables.

He played a co-pilot in "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me" (1999), Speed in "My Boss' Daughter" (2003), and Rick Archibald in "Snakes on A Plane" (2006). "Accepted" (2006) was about a man who started his own college after being rejected from all other colleges. When it was discovered that he made up the college, he had to defend his school at the accreditation hearing.

"Semi-Pro" (2008) was about an owner/coach/player for the Flint Tropics in the ABA in 1976. The commissioner made the announcement of the NBA/ABA merger. The commissioner of the ABA was a family man who didn't want the NBA to see a bunch of fighting in his games. At the end David's character, the ABA commissioner was mauled by a bear.

Cooter was the mechanic for the Dukes. Cooter was always dirty and hated Boss Hogg. "The Dukes of Hazzard" (2005) was about two cousins who had to save their county. Ben Jones played Cooter on the "Dukes of Hazzard" (1979-1985) television series.

David appeared in all four films mentioned. He played Agent Larabee for Control in "Get Smart" (2008). "Get Smart" (2008) was about a man who became a secret agent because Kaos found out what all the previous agents looked like. With his partner for the mission, Agent 99, they found out Kaos's scheme and saved the world.

The first time his head was stapled was when Agent 23 stapled his head and Hymie the Robot did it near the end of the film.

"Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" (2006) was about Ricky Bobby, a NASCAR driver. After he had a meltdown he lost his job and lost the ability to go fast. His father helped him get his ablities back and he returned to NASCAR at Talladega. Herschell was on Ricky's pit crew.

"Barnyard" (2006) was about five animal friends on a farm. David played a coyote whose pack killed a cow. Kevin James and Courteney Cox Arquette were also in the movie.

"Let's Go To Prison" (2006) was about a man who was out for revenge against the judge who sent him to prison only to find that the judge was dead so he decided to make the judge's son suffer.
