Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. On a hill top in Richmond, Virginia, 13 year old Leo Biederman and 13 year old Sarah Hotchner, along with their astronomy class are using telescopes to gaze at the night sky. Their astronomy teacher asks Sarah and Leo to name the constellations in the night sky, which they do, and when their teacher asks what another one is, Leo doesn't know, but Sarah thinks she knows. Which star constellation does Sarah claim is the unidentified mass in the sky?

Answer: Megrez

In the beginning of the movie, we see Leo Biederman and Sarah Hotchner, along with their astronomy club, star gazing. When their astronomy teacher asks Leo and Sarah to name the star constellations, Leo names two of them, but he is unsure of the third. Sarah chimes in and said that it's Megrez, but Leo is positive that it isn't.

The teacher tells Leo to take a photograph and that it will be sent to Dr. Wolf.
2. What is the name of the observatory that Professor Wolf is associated with?

Answer: Adrian Peakk Observatory

Dr. Marcus Wolf, the leader of Leo's and Sarah's astronomy club, works with the Adrian Peak Observatory, which is located on a hillside in Tuscon, Arizona.
3. At the observatory, Dr. Wolf is eating while he's researching Leo's unidentified mass in the sky. What is Dr. Wolf eating?

Answer: Pizza with anchovies

While Dr. Wolf is researching the unidentified mass that Leo found, he's clearly eating pizza with anchovies. During his research, he discovers that it's a comet that was discovered, and so he wants to see where the comet is heading. He almost chokes on the pizza when he realizes the comet's trajectory is on a direct path to Earth.

He inserts a floppy disk to copy what he is seeing on his computer screen, and races off, but not before labeling the envelope "Wolf-Biederman."
4. After Dr. Wolf races out of the observatory, we see an eighteen wheeler speeding down the highway. Inside the truck, the driver leans over to get his soda and turn up his radio. What is the name of the soda that he's drinking?

Answer: Jolt

After racing out of the observatory, Dr. Wolf jumps in his jeep and tears out of the parking space. He heads onto the highway and uses his cell phone to call NASA. We then see an eighteen wheeler speeding down the highway, and inside the truck the driver, who is smoking, leans over to take a sip of Jolt, the soda he's drinking.

He also turns up the volume of the radio. He is unaware of the oncoming jeep.
5. What is the cause of the crash that kills Dr. Wolf?

Answer: The truck driver's cigarette falls between his legs

The truck driver, who was doing too many things at once: smoking, drinking soda, and turning up the volume of the radio, dropped his cigarette between his legs. He fumbles around so as not to get burned, and in the process, he doesn't see Dr. Wolf, who by this time had stopped using his cell phone.

The jeep and the truck collide, and as they collide we see the envelope, which had "Wolf-Biederman" written on it, fly out the window. This is the last we see of the truck driver and Dr. Wolf.
6. One year later, in Washington D.C., at the MSNBC headquarters, a meeting is in process. During the meeting, it is announced that Secretary Rittenhouse decided to resign. What was the reason Secretary Rittenhouse gave for his resignation?

Answer: His wife was sick

According to the journalists in the meeting, Secretary Rittenhouse resigned because his wife was sick. However, Jenny Lerner, a junior reporter for MSNBC, claims she heard that the real reason he resigned was because his wife was a drunk.
7. What is the name of Jenny's friend and mentor?

Answer: Beth

Beth, who has a small daughter named Kate, is Jenny's friend and mentor. Beth is MSNBC's senior reporter for the White House. And, even though she is Jenny's friend, she seems to not want Jenny to succeed. This was very evident when Jenny asks about the opening for weekend anchor.
8. What does Jenny's mom, Robin, call Chloe?

Answer: Chlorine

In the scene where Jenny and her mother, Robin, are having lunch, Robin is very depressed because Jason, her ex-husband, is marrying a young woman named Chloe. She tells Jenny that at that very moment Jason and Chlorine are now husband and wife. This makes Jenny laugh hysterically.
9. How much older is Chloe than Jenny?

Answer: 2 years

After Jenny stops laughing, Robin says, "You now have a stepmother, who is two years older than you." Jenny then says she has to go.
10. According to Secretary Rittenhouse's former secretary, what is the name of the woman who he is supposedly having an affair with?

Answer: Elly

Jenny, who is hot on the trail of a so-called scandalous affair in the White House, converses with Secretary Rittenhouse's former secretary. The woman claims that Rittenhouse is having an affair with a woman named Elly. Jenny takes this information and runs with it, unaware that it isn't a woman named Elly, but an event called an E.L.E., extinction level event.
