Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What was the name of Michael's sister whom he killed when he was six years old in "Halloween" (1978)?

Answer: Judith Myers

After Judith's boyfriend left, young Michael went into the kitchen and grabbed a butcher knife out of the kitchen drawer. He went upstairs to Judith's room and pulled on his clown mask. As he entered her room, Judith began admonishing him for being there, as she was not clothed. Michael then began stabbing her repeatedly. After that, Michael calmly went downstairs and out into the front yard. He still had his mask on, and was holding the bloody knife. His blank expression was chilling.

From the aspect of the film, there was no clear motive behind young Michael's actions that evening. Michael's psychiatrist, Dr. Sam Loomis, believed that Michael could not discern good from evil, right from wrong. That was what made Michael so creepy in this one. We were left to wonder what clicked in his brain to make him him commit that awful crime at such a young age.
2. Where did Michael attack and kill Annie Brackett when she was trying to go see her boyfriend, Paul, in "Halloween" (1978)?

Answer: In her car

Annie was trying to spend some quality time with Paul. Unfortunately, her trip was cut short because Michael was clearly not happy with her decision to ditch her babysitting duties. He was waiting in her back seat when she got into her car. He began choking her, then he slit her throat with a knife.
3. How did Nurse Karen Bailey meet her demise in "Halloween II" (1981)?

Answer: She was scalded/drowned in the hospital's whirlpool.

This was a very graphic scene for the early 1980s, with great makeup effects. Karen and Budd decided to take a dip in the hospital's whirlpool. When the water temperature became uncomfortable, Karen asked Budd to adjust it, but Michael showed up behind Budd in the control room and strangled him with an electrical cord.

Michael then came up behind Nurse Karen and put his hand on her shoulder. Karen, thinking it was Budd, began caressing his hand and telling him she had to get back to work. When she discovered that it was definitely not Budd, Michael pushed her head into the scorching hot water repeatedly, simultaneously scalding her face and drowning her.
4. In "Halloween II" (1981), what medical instrument did Michael use to kill Dr. Mixter?

Answer: He was stabbed in his eye with a syringe.

When Laurie went into a catatonic state, poor Nurse Janet was sent to find Dr. Mixter. She found his body in his office chair with a syringe in the eye. Unfortunately, Michael was still in the room hiding in the shadows. She was dispatched with a syringe as well, this time to the temple.

Dr. Mixter seemingly had a fitting last name. He apparently was not adverse to having a few drinks, even while on call. Having an intoxicated doctor attending to a badly injured patient is just about as scary as this movie.
5. In "Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers" (1988), how did Sheriff Meeker's daughter, Kelly meet her untimely end?

Answer: A shotgun was shoved through her chest and into a wall, pinning her.

Kelly went into the living room to take Deputy Logan a cup of coffee. As she lit a candle, she discovered his corpse. She opened her mouth to scream, but then Michael stood up and grabbed the shotgun that was by the chair he was in. Then he slammed the gun through Kelly's chest, pinning her to the wall.

Kelly should have known that Michael was not a fan of promiscuity. Couple that with the amoral decision by her to try to steal another girl's boyfriend, and you a recipe for disaster. I guess she hadn't seen many slasher films prior to that night.
6. In "Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers" (1989), Mike, Tina's tough guy boyfriend, was not a very likable guy. He was rude, antisocial, and apparently not a even nice to his own friends. But what was the instrument of his demise?

Answer: Garden claw to his head

Michael walked behind Mike's beloved convertible, and taunted him by scratching the paint on his pride and joy with the gardening tool. Mike got out of the car to confront Michael but was dispatched in short order. Talk about a "splitting" headache!
7. How did lovable Deputy Charlie Bloch meet his end in "Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers" (1989)?

Answer: He was thrown out of a second storey window with a rope around his neck.

After Dr. Loomis pulled a gun on Deputy Bloch and ordered him to guard Jamie, Loomis left the room to confront Michael. There was a scream from outside the door. Charlie, fearing that it wasn't safe to stay in the house with a killer, hung a rope out of the window. Luckily, he was able to help Jamie to safety. Charlie wasn't as fortunate, and Michael hung him from the window.

Deputy Bloch was trying to keep Jamie calm, even though he himself was not. He was a seemingly good guy put in a bad situation. It was a sad end to somebody who was trying to do the right thing. R.I.P. Charlie.
8. How was John Strode taken care of in "Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers" (1995)?

Answer: He was stabbed, pinned to a fuse box, and electrocuted.

John came home to an empty house. He believed that his wife had followed through on the threat she had made earlier to leave after Loomis informed her of the history of the house they were living in. The lights went out in the house, and John made a quip about the Boogeyman and went downstairs to investigate. Michael came from behind and stabbed him, then pinned him to the fuse box.

John was seemingly a bad husband, a worse father, and an uninterested grandfather. Early in the film it was obvious that he was going to die horribly. I'm not sure anyone could have foreseen how horribly.
9. In "Halloween H20: 20 Years Later" (1998), what piece of sports equipment did Michael use to put an end to Jimmy Howell's fun?

Answer: An ice skate to his face

Ms. Whittington, Jimmy's neighbor, met him and his friend Tony as they were walking up to his house. She told him that her house had been broken into. Jimmy, always the good Samaritan, called the police. When he was told that it would take 15 minutes for the cops to get there, Jimmy decided to go check things out for himself, armed with his trusty hockey stick.

After finding nothing amiss other than her office and kitchen being a mess, Jimmy decided to help himself to a couple of beers for his good deeds. He informed Ms. Whittington of his findings, and Jimmy and his friend Tony went back to Jimmy's house to enjoy the fruit of his labors. Unfortunately, Michael was in Jimmy's house and took him out with an ice skate to his face. Poor Tony didn't fare much better, as he died shortly thereafter with a butcher knife to his back.
10. "In Halloween: Resurrection" (2002), how did aspiring chef Rudy Grimes lose his kitchen battle with Michael?

Answer: He had knives shoved through his chest, pinning him to a door.

Rudy loved to be in the kitchen. Too bad that he happened to be in the kitchen of Michael Myers' childhood home. When Michael took offense to this intrusion, Rudy decided to show off his knife skills on the masked killer. Rudy should have taken into account that Michael had been using knives for much longer, and much more brutally, than he had. Michael left him pinned to a door in the kitchen.

Hey. at least Rudy died in the place he most loved to be.
