Episode VII: "The Force Awakens" Quiz

Answer: Jakku

While all are planets in the "Star Wars" saga, only Jakku was mentioned in the film.

Jakku, and the space above the planet is where the majority of the first quarter of the movie took place. Several of the new characters including BB8, Kylo Ren, Rey and Finn are introduced during sequences on the planet.

The planet's name is mentioned several times throughout the film, both during sequences on the planet and when Rey wishes to return to it later in the movie.

Answer: Sitting in a junk yard

According to Rey, the ship is a "pile of junk" and hasn't flown in years.

She manages to get it fired up and uses it to escape from attack. When Han and Chewbacca get back on they announce that they are "home".

The ship had been stolen from them years prior and they had been looking to get it back ever since.

Answer: She is the only (known) female Stormtrooper in the movie.

Phasma was huge in the marketing leading up to the movie. She wears a chrome Stormtrooper outfit, which is a color that hasn't previously been shown and is the first female shown to be a Stormtrooper in any of the films in the franchise.

She is only in a few scenes in the movie, but several are critical moments.

Capt. Phasma never removes her helmet in the movie.

Answer: The First Order

The First Order rose out of the ashes of the Galactic Empire. The first order is led by Supreme Leader Snoke, who only appears as a hologram in the movie, and his apprentice Kylo Ren.

Answer: The Resistance

The Resistance is basically the Rebel Alliance from the original trilogy, even with many of the same people leading the way.

Instead of being a group of rebels fighting against an empire they are a group of people fighting against the rise of a new evil.

Both sides remain similar though. The resistance uses the same ships the rebels used and the First Order uses the same types of troops and ships that the Empire had used.

Answer: He was a Stormtrooper.

Finn was a Stormtrooper known only by a serial number prior to deciding he doesn't want to fight for the people who had kidnapped him from his family as a child.

Finn instead helps a member of the Resistance escape and joins forces with the Resistance after meeting up with Han Solo and Chewbacca.

Answer: Ben

Ben Solo is the son of Han Solo and Leia Organa. He was training to be a Jedi under his uncle Luke Skywalker when the Knights of Ren recruited him. He took the name Kylo Ren, much like his grandfather Anakin Skywalker took the name of Darth Vader when he turned to the dark side.

When Ben was seduced to the dark side, Luke became a hermit and hid himself from the rest of the galaxy.

Answer: Han Solo

Han Solo attempts to talk his son Ben (Kylo Ren) into coming home to Leia and himself.

He talks Ben into removing the mask he wore to look similar to Darth Vader, and is seemingly about to get him to return to the light side. Kylo thanks Han for helping him, and then activates the lightsaber they are both holding.

The blade impales Han and he then falls to his death.

Answer: Starkiller Base

It is mentioned by members of the Resistance that the base is like a Death Star, at which time the Starkiller Base and a model Death Star are shown side by side on a computer model. The base is the size of 20 to 30 Death Stars.

The base is built out of a planet, and even has vegetation still growing on it. It draws its power from nearby stars and is able to destroy entire star systems, not just one planet at a time.

Answer: Rey

Ren is shot in the stomach by Chewbacca moments after he kills his father. He then fights with Finn who gets in a lucky shot on Ren's shoulder but is beaten.

Rey, who had been developing her force sensitivity over the last third of the film, grabs the lightsaber that had belonged to both Anakin and Luke Skywalker and manages to defeat Kylo Ren in battle.

His life is saved when the Starkiller base starts to break apart and they are separated before she can deliver a death blow. He is left defeated, lying injured on the forest floor.
