This western comedy stars James Garner as a gunfighter who says that he is on his way to Australia. He accepts the job as sheriff and falls in love with the mayor's eccentric daughter, played by Joan Hackett. The sheriff defeats the local gang of toughs and decides to stay.

John Wayne won his only acting Oscar for his portrayal of Rooster Cogburn, a U.S. Marshall hired to track down a killer. The film also stars Kim Darby as the victim's daughter and Glen Campbell as a Texas Ranger who is after the same man. The film was re-made in 2010.

This film is a dramatization of the American attempt to take an intact bridge over the Rhine River in March of 1945. The local German commander, with dwindling resources and SS death squads all around, tries to destroy the bridge before the Allies take it. The film stars George Segal and Robert Vaughn.

David Hemmings stars as Alfred, who became King of Wessex on the death of his brother. Wishing to be a priest instead of a king, Alfred fights the Viking invaders to a standstill and reclaims his kingdom. The film also stars Michael York and Prunella Scales.

Laurence Olivier, Michael Caine, and Ralph Richardson head up an all-star cast in this account of the German attempt to destroy the RAF to pave the way for a German invasion of England.

Answer: Anne of the Thousand Days

This lavish costume drama tells the story of Anne Boleyn, the woman who King Henry VIII broke away from the Catholic Church in order to marry. When she couldn't produce a son, she was charged with treason and adultery and beheaded. The film stars Richard Burton, Genevieve Bujold, Anthony Quayle, and Irene Papas.
9. Do you know the name of this movie, in which an Italian village hides over a million bottles of wine from occupying German troops during World War II?

Answer: The Secret of Santa Vittoria

Anthony Quinn is the never-do-well mayor of a small Italian town under German occupation after the 1943 Italian surrender. He and the other residents manage to hide a large cache of wine from the Germans, who are tricked into executing the former Fascist town officials for the crime.

Answer: The Italian Job

A British gang hires an oddball professor (Benny Hill) to re-program the traffic signals for the Italian city of Turin. While traffic is in chaos, the gang robs an armored car of a large amount of gold and tries to escape in Mini Cooper cars. The film stars Michael Caine and Noel Coward. The film was re-made in 2003.
