There are a few new charcters in this film that are not in the original game version. The first are the three Remnants of Sephiroth, Kadaj, Loz and Yazoo. Thses three are the main antagonists who Cloud and his allies are up against. Secondly there is a boy called Denzel who is a friend of Marlene who was taken in by Tifa after Cloud found him in a bad way. All the other characters were all mentioned in the game at some point even if only briefly so.

Sephiroth appears after Cloud defeats Kadaj in battle. Kadaj jumps away from the edge of a building he is hanging onto and completes his Reunion with the cells of his mother Jenova, (which he has in his possession). After this Cloud jumps down after him and his blow is blocked by Sephiroth's huge Masamune blade that materialises.

He looks up into Sephiroth's eyes and he speaks this line.

All the Remnants can summon these "dark-looking" monsters, but this does not always seem apparent. The first time you see these monsters is when Cloud is on his bike riding towards Midgar and the Remnants attack him. The second (and the final) time is when the Remnants are in Midgar looking for "Mother".

Cloud works as a delivery driver for his own delivery service, aptly named Strife Delivery Service. However, he never does any delivery driving during the film. If you didn't know better you would think he was a mercenary!

He uses this attack when Loz strike the ground with his weapon causing a large eruption of earth speeding towards Cloud. Cloud sees it coming, pulls his sword back, and then it charges with a crackling energy. He then thrusts forward with his sword sending the beam of energy into the oncoming earth, destroying it on contact.

All the Remnants can use a gun as their weapon of choice. However, during the film you only see Loz and Yazoo use a gun weapon. When Cloud goes to the Forgotten City to save the children from Midgar, as he approaches both Loz and Yazoo are shooting at him. During most of the film however each Remnant has a favoured weapon. Loz favours a weapon worn around his lower forearm called the Dual Hound, which is made for close-up physical combat. Kadaj likes to use his Souba, which is a long double-bladed sword. Yazoo favours the gun weapon the Velvet Nightmare as his choice weapon.

When you first see Barret it is when he comes into Midgar to join the fight against Bahamut Sin. Kadaj has summoned Bahamut to attack Midgar. On his left arm on the upper bicep, he has a tattoo of a type of skull in black, surrounded by a red (very pale almost pink) tribal type design. Very cool looking. This type of tattoo suits Barret perfectly!

The for Turks are as follows Reno, Rude, Elena ang Tseng. Rufus is actually the President of the Shinra Company. The Turks work for him as part of Shinra.

In the game you fight The Turks (or various members of them) during the game. The first fight you have is against Reno in the Pillar of Sector 7 in Midgar. The second encounter is against Reno and Rude at the entrance to Gongaga Village. The next time you can battle them is optional, but if you visit the crashed Gelnika airplane before the final battle with them you have to fight Reno and Rude.

The next fight is against Rude in Rocket Town and he is on his own with two guards assisting him.

The final fight against them is in the Tunnels under Midgar and here you fight Reno, Rude and (for the first and only time ) Elena. Unfortunately you never get to fight the leader of the Turks Tseng (Sephiroth deals with him!). Another thing is you can not kill them off permanently they always run away to fight another day which is another great shame!

Cloud uses some of his Limit Breaks in the film. The ones he uses are Blade Beam when fighting the Remnants in the Forgotten City. Then during the fight against Bahamut Sin he use his Braver attack and finishes this enemy off with his Climhazzard Limit Break.

He then uses his Finishing Touch Limit Break to defeat Kadaj. The last Limit Break he uses is Omni-Slash Version Five which defeats Sephiroth. In the game he has a total of seven Limit breaks. The other Limit Break he doesn't use is called Meteorain. Also in the game Omni-Slash is just called that there is no version number.

Answer: Aeris/Aerith's Memory

The Pink Ribbon is a remembrance to the female Aeris/Aerith character who died in the course of the game. During the game the main antagonist Sephiroth uses Black Magic (by using the Black Materia) to summon a huge Meteor to destroy the planet. Aeris/Aerith is the last of an ancient race called the Cetra (also referred to as the Ancients).

She says she is the only one who can save the planet from the Meteor. She leaves on her own to perform the task but Sephiroth knows this and goes after her.

When you find her she is locked in prayer. When you approach her Sephiroth comes down from above and impales her with his large sword killing her. Towards the end of the game you find out that Aeris/Aerith was (using the White Materia)to pray for Holy. Holy is the Ultimate White Magic and could therfeore save the planet from Meteor.

The rest of the team have to kill Sephiroth first as he is stopping Holy from doings its job.

During this conversation Reno says, "It's a shame the Director's not around." Rude replies with "Elena too." Reno continues by saying, "Hope they're alive." Rude then says, "They are. Tseng's like the President. They're kinda like cats, nine lives you know."

Answer: "I will never be a memory."

This line is said immediately after Cloud unleashes his Omni-Slash Version Five Limit Break. This powerful attack kills Sephiroth and turns him back into a severely injured Kadaj. Kadaj became Sephiroth after having his Reunion with his Mother Jenova. After this Kadaj dies and returns to the lifestream.

Answer: Breaks a fire hydrant with a pipe, sweeping the creature away.

Denzel is running flat-out for Seventh Heaven when he sees the Shadow Creeper in his way. When he realises he cannot get past he cries out, "I gotta do this!" He picks up a nearby pipe and smashes the valve on a fire hydrant just next to him (both the pipe and the hydrant seem to be conveniently placed for this!). on the third strike it explodes water and takes the Shadow Creeper out of his way and he continues running.
