Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What was the call sign of the clone pilot that helped Obi-Wan and Anakin reach the Invisible Hand (General Grievous' flagship) in the opening battle?

Answer: Oddball

Oddball was a clone pilot and active for most of the Clone Wars. He was around Obi-Wan Kenobi for most of it. He fought at the Battle of Teth (seen in the animated movie "Star Wars: The Clone Wars"). At the Battle of Coruscant, he led a squadron of ARC-170 starfighters, and helped Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker by engaging droid fighters in dogfights, allowing the two Jedi to slip by to the Invisible Hand. He was later with the task force sent to Utapau with Kenobi.

Cody was a clone commander assigned to Obi-Wan Kenobi, and led clone ground forces during battles. He was the one who ordered an AT-TE to fire on Kenobi after receiving Order 66.

Sicko was the name of another clone pilot that ferried Omega Squad (a commando squad) to their mission in the book "Triple Zero". He was killed when his ship was attacked and sent off into space.

Jag was the name of yet another clone pilot. He was responsible for killing Jedi Master Plo Koon over Cato Neimoidia.
2. Who was kidnapped during the Battle of Coruscant?

Answer: Chancellor Palpatine

The movie started off with the space battle above Coruscant, in which Anakin and Obi-Wan were charged with rescuing Chancellor Palpatine, who was prisoner aboard the Invisible Hand. In season three of the mini series "Star Wars: Clone Wars", the beginning of the Battle of Coruscant was shown.

It showed the Jedi and Clone Troopers on Coruscant holding off Confederacy ground forces while trying to keep the Chancellor away from Grievous' Magna guards, and the general himself. Near the end of the series, Mace Windu confronted Grievous and crushed his chest, which was why the general was coughing so much when talking with Anakin and Obi-Wan, later, on the bridge of his command ship.
3. Who was sent to Kashyyyk in order to aid the Wookiees in their fight against the Separatists?

Answer: Yoda

Kashyyyk was important in the war, strategically, as an intersection point of many hyperspace lanes. Jedi Master Yoda was chosen to go to Kashyyyk to aid the Wookiees due to his good relations with them. He commanded the Republic Forces from an observation point with two clone troopers, Chewbacca, and Tarfful, the Wookiee chieftan at the time. When Order 66 was given, Yoda felt the deaths of many Jedi through the Force. He was able to kill his clone guards before they could assassinate him, and, with the help of the Wookiees, managed to escape Kashyyyk. He was then picked up by the Tantive IV.

Other Jedi on Kashyyyk were Luminara Unduli and Qunilan Vos. Luminara was killed by clone troopers when Order 66 was issued. Quinlan was also attacked, but managed to survive, albeit with severe burns.

Not seen in the movie were Trandoshans, a reptilian race that took Wookiees for slaves and for their pelts. The Jedi and Republic forces helped the Wookiees repel the Trandoshans before Order 66, but after, left the planet and the Wookiees to fend for themselves. Years later, the Empire would enslave the Wookiees and use them as a cheap labor force for their various construction projects, such as the Death Star.
4. Where did Darth Sidious order Grievous to hide the Separatist leaders?

Answer: Mustafar

Mustafar was a volcanic world whose inhabitants harvested energy from the natural lava flows. Grievous hid the Separatists there by Darth Sidious' orders. Sidious was then able to tell Anakin, turned Darth Vader, where to find and kill the leaders of the Separatists in order to end the Clone Wars.
5. On which planet was General Grievous defeated?

Answer: Utapau

Utapau was a barren world with some rather bland, brown surface features (it looked like a pale green from space). The planet was actually riddled with large sinkholes, which the natives built their cities in, to protect themselves from the harsh winds on the surface. There were two native races to Utapau, the Pau'ans, the tall, thin, grey-skinned aliens that oversaw the politics of Utapau, while the short and stocky Utai were the labor force.

Grievous attempted to flee the Battle of Coruscant, but was tracked by two Null Commandos (Jaing and Kom'rk) to Utapau. Grievous took over the city and intimidated the locals into not calling for help. Obi-Wan Kenobi headed for Utapau with Commander Cody's forces behind him. The plan was to assault the city if/when Kenobi found Grievous. Obi-Wan did find the droid general, and a lightsaber fight/chase ensued. Grievous attempted to escape in his personal starfighter, but was killed by Obi-Wan on the private landing pad. Obi-Wan would later return here and use Grievous' personal ship to escape Utapau after Order 66 was given.

There were only six Null commandos in the Grand Army of the Republic. They were the original test clones that came before the Alpha ARC commandos. The Kamonians had intended to terminate the Nulls, as they were a 'failure' in the eyes of the Kaminoans, who only valued perfection. Kal Skirata, a Mandolorian, stepped in and prevented their termination, and took it upon himself to train them. They were said to be even more unpredictable than the normal ARCs.
6. When did Darth Sidious become scarred and wrinkled?

Answer: During his fight with Mace Windu

After Grievous was defeated, the Jedi learned that the Supreme Chancellor was actually the Sith Lord controlling the events of the Clone Wars. Mace Windu, along with Kit Fisto, Agen Kolar, Saesee Tiin, four Jedi Masters who sat on the High Council, attempted to arrest the Chancellor. Three of the Jedi were defeated instantly, resulting in a duel between Mace Windu and Darth Sidious.

There was a quick lightsaber duel, but Mace Windu eventually had the Dark Lord backed up against the frame of the massive broken window. Sidious, without his lightsaber, attempted to use Force Lightning on Windu, but it was deflected back, slowly deforming the Dark Lord. Windu was about the end Sidious' life, but Anakin jumped in and severed Windu's lightsaber hand. With no way to defend against attacks, Sidious was finally able to use his lightning to send Windu flying out of the office to fall to his death.
7. Despite this movie being about mostly Jedi characters, many didn't actually die by lightsaber. Which of these characters was killed by a lightsaber?

Answer: Count Dooku

There were quite a few duels with lightsabers, yet a surprising number of characters were not actually killed by them. Dooku was killed by a lightsaber (actually, two) in the opening lightsaber duel between himself and Anakin and Obi-Wan. He managed to incapacitate Obi-Wan, but Anakin bested him. Anakin managed to cut off both the Count's hands and then decapitated him in a scissor-like motion.

General Grievous dueled Obi-Wan Kenobi on Utapau and used lightsabers, an electrostaff, and a blaster when fighting. He was just about to kill Kenobi, who was hanging off the edge of the landing platform when the Jedi pulled the discarded blaster to him, and shot Grievous' exposed organs multiple times, ending the droid general's reign of terror.

Mace Windu was blasted out of a window on Coruscant by Darth Sidious, where he fell to his death.

Plo Koon was flying his starfighter when Order 66 was given, and ARC-170 following him, piloted by Jag, opened fire on him over Cato Neimoidia. This was seen during the montage of clone troops turning on their Jedi generals.
8. Was Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker's apprentice, seen in this movie?

Answer: No

Ahsoka Tano, a Togruta, was first introduce in the animated movie "Star Wars: The Clone Wars", released in 2008 (after "Episode III"), which took place between "Episode II" and "Episode III". She was not seen in "Revenge of the Sith".

She was sent to Christophsis where Obi-Wan was originally under the impression that he was going to be her master. She clarified the situation, explaining that Master Yoda had quite clearly said that Anakin was to be her master, a role that Anakin begrudgingly filled. The two would later come to appreciate each other and work well as a team. Ahsoka is also one of the stars in the television series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars".
9. Who was sympathetic towards the Jedi, even after Order 66?

Answer: Bail Organa

Bail Organa, senator form Alderaan, was always sympathetic towards the Jedi. When he heard that the Jedi Temple was under attack, he flew there personally. He was denied admission by the Clone Troopers stationed there, and was just leaving as a young Jedi rushed out and took down multiple troops before being shot. Bail fled and took his ship, the Tantive IV (the same ship seen that the beginning of "A New Hope") to go and rescue any surviving Jedi. He managed to pick up both Yoda and Kenobi.

Later, when the Jedi deemed it necessary to go into hiding and to separate the children of Anakin Skywalker, he adopted Leia, who would later become one of the most prominent figures during the Galactic Civil War (seen in the original trilogy).
10. Which fight never occured?

Answer: Mace Windu vs. Asajj Ventress

The first duel seen was Anakin vs. Dooku, which Anakin won swiftly. Next was Obi-Wan vs. Grievous, which Kenobi won. Finally, near the end of the movie, Yoda dueled Darth Sidious in the Senate Chamber. Yoda attempted to remove Sidious before he could corrupt the galaxy, but was unsuccessful, and went into hiding on Dagobah.

Asajj Ventress was a student of Dooku's during the Clone Wars and wielded a pair of red lightsabers. She was seen in both TV series revolving around the Clone Wars, and in many books, but not in the live-action movies themselves.
