During the movie, Chancellor Palpatine tells Anakin of a Sith Lord who is so powerful he can control the midichlorians and create a new life. Do you think he meant Anakin? Or did George Lucas leave that deliberately vague for fans to debate?
I find it weird that Anakin's the third name when the cast list comes out (the first two being Obi-Wan Kenobi and Padme, whose surname wasn't written). I would've thought that he'd be the first.

Answer: Obi-Wan Kenobi

Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) says this as they enter General Grievous' ship. He reminds Anakin that the shields are still in place. Once Anakin destroys the shield generators, he says "I have a bad feeling about this", just before their ships careen wildly in the docking area.

The first is when he and Anakin are about to fight Count Dooku (Christopher Lee). The second is just before he jumps down in the middle of the enemy troops prior to fighting with General Grievous. Finally he takes his robe off to meet with Darth Vader in their climatic final lightsaber fight.

Darth Maul is the apprentice in the first movie who is killed off by Obi-Wan. Darth Vader becomes Anakin Skywalker's name when he becomes the Emperor's apprentice. Darth Sidious is actually Palpatine's Sith name, although he'll end up being more known simply as "The Emperor" in "Star Wars 4-6".

Answer: he wants to save Padme from dying

Yes, he does it all for love. He is getting premonition dreams that Padme is going to die in childbirth and he wants to do everything he can to prevent that. He can't live without his wife, Padme. To tempt him to the Dark Side, Chancellor Palpatine tells Anakin that only he can teach Anakin how to save Padme.

In the end, the premonition comes true and it turns out that Anakin is the cause of Padme's death.

The plan is that Yoda is to deal with Chancellor Palpatine while Obi-Wan searches out Darth Vader to kill him. Obi-Wan originally wants to go after Chancellor Palpatine because he doesn't think he can kill Anakin, as he loves Anakin as a brother. Yoda tells Obi-Wan that he isn't strong enough to fight Chancellor Palpatine. In the end, though, both fail in their missions.

Answer: Padme Amidala

When Anakin returns to Coruscant, he's told by Obi-Wan to mingle with the politicians. He talks with Senator Bail Organa before excusing himself, as he senses Padme behind him. He goes to Padme and they hug and kiss, glad at being reunited. Here, Padme tells him that she's pregnant and Anakin says it's the happiest day of his life. Chancellor Palpatine somehow knows that Padme is Anakin's wife and uses that as leverage to convince Anakin to turn to the Dark Side. Obi-Wan realizes that Anakin's the father only near the end of the movie.

He asks Padme where Anakin is and tells her that Anakin is the new Sith Apprentice, which Padme refuses to accept. As he's leaving, Obi-Wan asks her, "Anakin's the father, isn't he?" Padme doesn't say anything but her expression answers Obi-Wan's question.

Answer: no

Every time they refer to her pregnancy, they call it "a child" or "our child". It is only later that they all (except for Darth Vader) learn that she's carrying twins.

Answer: left arm and both legs

Initially, I thought he just lost both legs but on closer watch, I realize this is wrong. Anakin loses his right hand near the end of the second movie, during his fight with Count Dooku. In this movie, Obi-Wan adds to his injuries by cutting off both his legs from thigh down, and his left arm (seen clearly when he's lying down on a medical transport, burned black).

As Darth Vader slowly slides nearer the lava, his stump legs catch on fire and he burns. In the end, all his extremeties have been cut which will be replaced by robotic arms and legs.

This is why he has to wear the black helmet and suit - the trademark costume for Darth Vader.

Anakin says that Obi-wan owes him, since he has saved Obi-Wan's life ten times. Obi-Wan replies that it was only nine since one of the incidents didn't count.
