In this scene Doolittle "Doo" Lynn (Tommy Lee Jones) proposes moving his new bride Loretta (Sissy Spacek) from near her home in Butcher Hollow (a.k.a. Butcher Holler), Kentucky to the state of Washington. Loretta objects with the first line and Doo replies with the second. Both Sissy Spacek and Beverly D'Angelo (she plays county singer Patsy Cline) do all their own singing in this movie.

In the 1981 Academy Awards, Sissy Spacek won the Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role. "Coal Miner's Daughter" was nominated for Best Picture, but lost to "Ordinary People."

In the events just preceding these lines, newly-divorced father Ted Kramer (Dustin Hoffman) warns his young son Billy (Justin Henry) about eating ice-cream before dinner with the line "Hold it right there! You put that ice cream in your mouth and you are in very, very, VERY big trouble." Of course, Billy does it anyway.

After the resulting fight, Billy says the first line and Ted replies with the second. This famous scene was completely improvised by both Dustin Hoffman and Justin Henry and the director liked it so much he kept it in the final cut.

In the 1980 Academy Awards, "Kramer vs. Kramer" won five Oscars, including Best Picture, Dustin Hoffman for Best Actor in a Leading Role and Meryl Streep for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.

In this scene William Wallace (Mel Gibson) addresses his troops just before a big battle with English troops. Wallace says, "Sons of Scotland! I am William Wallace." One of the soldiers isn't sure he really is Wallace and says the first line. Wallace replies with the second.

This is the mostly true story of William Wallace, a commoner (although one source says he was a Scottish lord) who unites 13th-century Scotland in its battle to overthrow English rule (although documentation about the details is sketchy, at best). "Braveheart" won Best Picture in the 1996 Academy Awards and Mel Gibson won an Oscar for Best Director.

In this scene Scarlett O'Hara (Vivien Leigh) has just learned her crush on Ashley Wilkes (Leslie Howard) is not reciprocated by his feelings for her. She is in a room she thinks is empty and throws a vase against a wall to express her displeasure. Rhett Butler (Clark Gable) is dozing on a sofa whose back is to Scarlett and sits up at the sound of the crashing vase. Scarlett is aghast at having a witness to her temper tantrum and says the first line. Rhett replies with the second line.

In the 1940 Academy Awards "Gone with the Wind" won nine Oscars, including Best Picture, Vivien Leigh for Best Actress in a Leading Role, and Hattie McDaniel for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. Clark Gable and Olivia de Havilland were nominated for Oscars but did not win.

In this scene U.S. CIA director Bill Cabot (Morgan Freeman) and his assistant Jack Ryan (Ben Affleck) are inspecting a Russian factory where nuclear bombs are being decommissioned. Cabot sees one worker with a T-shirt that has writing in Russian on it.

He asks one of his Russian hosts for a translation with the first line and the host replies with the second. Affleck is the third actor who has played the character of Jack Ryan in movies made from Tom Clancy stories. The first two were Alec Baldwin in "The Hunt for Red October" (1990), Harrison Ford in "Clear and Present Danger" (1994), and Harrison Ford in "Patriot Games" (1992).

In this scene out-of-work actor Michael Dorsey (Dustin Hoffman) is complaining to his agent George Fields (played by director Sydney Pollack) with the first line, that in a commercial, featuring him dressed up as a tomato, he was asked to do something that wasn't logical.

The agent explodes with the second. The movie title "Tootsie" was suggested by Dustin Hoffman. It was his mother's nickname for him when he was a child. In the 1983 Academy Awards, Dustin Hoffman, Teri Garr, director Sydney Pollack, the screenplay writing, the title song, and the movie were all nominated for awards, but only Jessica Lange won an Oscar (for Best Actress in a Supporting Role).

In this scene baker Ronny Cammareri (Nicolas Cage) declares his love for Loretta Castorini (Cher) with the first line. However, she is engaged at the time to Ronny's brother Johnny (Danny Aiello). She slaps him and says the second line. "Moonstruck" was nominated for Best Picture in the 1988 Academy Awards but lost out to "The Last Emperor." Cher won an Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her portrayal of Loretta Castorini and Olympia Dukakis won one for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her portrayal of Loretta's mother Rose. Vincent Gardenia was nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his role as Loretta's father Cosmo, but lost to Sean Connery in "The Untouchables." "Moonstruck" is one of my all-time favorites.

In this famous scene Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio) holds Rose Bukater (Kate Winslet) standing with outstretched arms at the very front of RMS Titanic. Jack says the first line and Rose says the second. "Titanic" tells the historically-accurate saga of the luxurious White Star ocean liner that sank in 1912 on its maiden voyage, through the lives of two fictional characters, Jack Dawson and Rose Bukater. "Titanic" won 11 Oscars in the 1998 Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Original Song for "My Heart Will Go On" sung by Celine Dion. Both Gloria Stuart (old Rose) and Kate Winslet (young Rose) were nominated for Oscars, but neither won.

The designation "RMS" stands for "Royal Mail Steamship" (also called Steamer or Ship).

In this scene Commanderette Zircon (Leslie Bevis) has just asked President Skroob "Shall I have Snotty beam you down, sir?" He is apprehensive and asks the question in the first line. She replies with the second line. George Lucas (the "Star Wars" director) was a big fan of Brooks' previous films and his company (Industrial Light and Magic) constructed the light sabers for "Spaceballs." A recurring line from this movie is "May the Schwartz be with you," which is a parody of the "Star Wars" line "The Force will be with you, always." Mel Brooks not only directed this movie and co-wrote the screenplay for it but he also acted in it as both President Skroob and Yoghurt.

In this scene several FBI agents visit Paula Abagnale (Nathalie Baye) to try and locate her son Frank, Jr. (Leonardo DiCaprio). She says the first line, thinking he is in some minor trouble, and agent Carl Hanratty (Tom Hanks) says the second. The real Frank Abagnale Jr. appears briefly in this movie as a French policeman. In the 2003 Academy Awards "Catch Me If You Can" was nominated for two awards but didn't win either.
