Pettigrew has changed himself into the form of an Irish rat, and was adopted by the Weasleys. Black and Lupin want to kill him, but Harry says that he should be turned over to the Dementors.

First seen in "The Prisoner of Azkaban", the Marauder's Map is opened by this incantation. It says "Messrs. Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs, are proud to present to you the Marauder's Map. The map shows everyone in and around Hogwarts, whether invisible, visible, or in any form.

It was created by Remus Lupin, who is a werewolf (Mooney), Sirius Black, who can transform into a dog (Padfoot), Peter Pettigrew, who can transform into a rat (Wormtail), and James Potter, whose patronus is a stag (Prongs). Sirius later explains to Harry that the map never lies.

In "The Order of the Pheonix", a few members of the Order are fighting some of Voldemort's Death Eaters at the Ministry of Magic. Harry fights alongside them, and at one point Harry and Sirius have an encounter with Lucius Malfoy. Harry casts a spell that makes Lucius drop his wand, and it is at this point that Sirius delivers this line to Harry, as Harry's fighting mannerisms are much like his father James's.

Harry, enraged by this, follows Bellatrix and casts the Cruciatus Curse on her, knocking her to the ground. The torture curse Harry cast has her visit old nightmares, affecting her concentration and causing her to be immobile. Harry gets very close to Bellatrix, and then Voldemort whispers to Harry the line above.

He knows that Harry is contemplating killing Bellatrix, but Harry hesitates when he realizes Voldemort is behind him.

Snape then steps in and kills Dumbledore. Harry witnesses this hidden below as Dumbledore falls from the top of the tower they are all in. Harry then chases Snape and the Death Eaters, and casts a curse at Snape who blocks it. Harry then delivers this line to Snape. Snape does not engage Harry until Harry casts the sectumsempra curse which Snape blocks. Snape then casts a spell that knocks Harry on his back, lets him know that Snape himself is the "Half-Blood Prince", kicks Harry's wand away, and leaves.

After escaping the Dursleys' home in "The Deathly Hallows Part 1", Tonks talks about how Ron saved her life on the way to the Burrow. Hermione is in disbelief at first that Ron did so. It is then that Ron says this to Hermione. After Harry, Ron and Hermione escape from the Burrow, the only thing with them is a small bag Hermione has with her.

He then sees someone above him walking on the ice, diving in the water, getting the sword, and dragging him out. Harry then sees that it is Ron who has done so, and thinks it was he who cast the Patronus. Ron tells him no, and that he thought Harry did, but Harry reminds Ron that his is a stag.

Before going into the dark forest, Harry pulls out the snitch that Dumbledore gave him. It opens, and out comes the Resurrection Stone. Harry holds it in his hands, and looks up to find his mother, father, Sirius Black, and Remus Lupin. He first asks them this, and his mother lets him know that they never left. Harry asks if they'll stay with him, and they undoubtedly agree. Sirius points to Harry's heart, saying that they are there and always will be. Lily says how proud they are of Harry, and Sirius says that they will be there until the end. Harry then drops the Resurrection Stone and goes to face Voldemort in the dark forest.
