Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. 'Never, at any crisis in your life, have I known you to have a handkerchief.'

Answer: Gone With the Wind

Rhett Butler (Clark Gable) says this to Scarlett O'Hara (Vivien Leigh) right before he leaves her at the end of the movie, because she is crying and per usual, she does not have a handkerchief. She is crying because she has just realized that she does love him and not Ashley, but according to him it is too late.

This is my absolute favorite movie of all time, and I've seen it about 100 times. If you have not seen it, rent it!
2. 'Yes I own the hotel and I live there. My life is quite like Monopoly.'

Answer: 'Two Weeks Notice'

Hugh Grant's character, who is one of the wealthiest businessmen in the world, owns the Grand Hotel and he lives in the penthouse there. He tells Sandra Bullock's character this when they are in the car and he is offering her a job as his attorney. He gives her his number and she asks him why he lives in a hotel. The quote is his answer.
3. 'Sometimes when I'm driving...on the road at night...I see two headlights coming toward me. Fast. I have this sudden impulse to turn the wheel quickly, head-on into the oncoming car. I can anticipate the explosion. The sound of shattering glass. The...flames rising out of the flowing gasoline.'

Answer: Annie Hall

This scene is one of the funniest in the movie. Christopher Walken is playing Diane Keaton's disturbed brother, and he's describing this to Allen when she brings Allen home to meet her family. In the next scene, Walken is driving them to the airport, and Allen looks absolutely terrified.
4. 'Oh... and here's a little piece of advice. Direct from me to you: Lay off the caramels.'

Answer: Chicago

Roxie (Renee Zellweger) says this to Velma (Catherine Zeta-Jones) after Velma has performed her "act of desperation". Roxie is not falling for Velma's false kindness, and she is turning down Velma's offer to do an act together. Earlier on in the movie Velma had said this same line to Roxie, except instead of 'lay off the caramels' she said, 'keep your paws off my underwear'.
5. 'No, you're the man...and that's the problem!'

Answer: Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back

This quote was said by Chris Rock and it is one of the funniest in the movie. Rock plays the director of the film within the film and he has a complex because he thinks that even though his assistant, a white kid, is lower than him, he is automatically superior because he is white. Throughout the scene Rock is making comments about the fact that a white boy is bringing him his coffee.
6. 'Why does Andrew get to stand up? If Andrew stands up, we'll all stand up. It'll be anarchy!'

Answer: The Breakfast Club

This is said by Judd Nelson during detention, to the principal in one of the greatest movies of all time. Andrew is played by Emilio Estevez. Andrew gets to stand up to move a bookshelf in front of the door, when the principal had said that no one was allowed to get up from his or her seat under any circumstances.
7. 'I thought you were gonna tell me what a bad eugoogalizer I was.'

Answer: Zoolander

Ben Stiller says this to Christine Taylor at the funeral after the freak gasoline accident in one of the funniest movies ever made. He means eulogy, but he is one of the dumbest people on the planet. Taylor had just written a mean article about Stiller, and he was very angry about it.
8. 'Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine.'

Answer: Casablanca

Rick (Humphrey Bogart) says this when he is extremely drunk, the night that Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman) comes to Casablanca. He is angry about her coming back, after she had left him in Paris without an explanation a few years earlier. He is sooo in love with her, and she in love with him.
9. 'You know how to whistle, don't ya Steve? You just put your lips together, and blow.'

Answer: To Have and Have Not

This was the first movie that Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall made together, and it is when they fell in love. The movie is about a boat captain who helps out French liberators during World War II. Bacall says this to Bogey after she has kissed him, and tells him that if he needs anything to just whistle. Bogey does the famous whistle as soon as Lauren walks out of the room.
10. 'You jump, I jump, right?'

Answer: Titanic

This was said by Rose to Jack after Rose jumps out of the lifeboat and back on to the ship. It refers to the earlier scene when Rose was considering jumping off the ship, and Jack tells her that if she does, he is going to have to jump in after her. It symbolizes their need to stay together no matter what. Sidenote: 'Titanic' is my second favorite movie of all time.
