1. In what 1974 low budget, slasher flick does Leatherface terrorize teenagers?

Answer: Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Aspects of Leatherface and his family are somewhat based on serial killer Ed Gein. "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" was one of the first slasher flicks made. Leatherface and his family hunt a group of teenagers to feed the family and so Leatherface can hide his deformities by using their skin.

This cult classic was conceived by director Tobe Hooper while he was shopping in the hardware section at a Sears.
2. Billy Loomis is Sidney Prescott's boyfriend, in which 1996 Wes Craven film?

Answer: Scream

"Scream" is about a psychotic killer in a small town in California. Sidney Prescott is still reeling from the brutal murder of her mother. When similar murders start to occur, she is confronted with the memory of her mother and all the things she didn't know about her. Skeet Ulrich plays the part of Billy Loomis in the first "Scream".

His character is named after Dr. Loomis from the "Halloween" films.

Answer: The Frighteners

"The Frighteners" is about a a psychic conman who can see ghosts in a town that has been plagued with strange deaths. The psychic starts to see glowing numbers on people's foreheads. When those people start dying, he figures out what is killing people in that town.

He then sets out to stop it. Johnny Bartlett, played by Jake Busey, is the reaper-like character in 'The Frighteners'. He and the character Patricia Ann Bradley are based on Charles Starkweather and Caril Fugate.

Harris based certain aspects of the Buffalo Bill character on serial killer Ed Gein.

Answer: House on Haunted Hill

An eccentric millionaire throws a party for his wife in an old mental institution. He offers to pay five strangers a million dollars to spend the entire night there, without getting killed. Jeffery Combs plays a sadistic ghost in the 1999 remake of "House on Haunted Hill".

When Vannacutt was alive he ran a mental institution and liked to experiment on his patients. This character wasn't in the 1959 William Castle original.

In this 1988 film, Charles Lee Ray is killed in a shootout with the cops. He performs a voodoo ritual to live in another form - unfortunately it's in a child's doll. When he needs to find a human form he sets his sights on the kid who owns him. Brad Dourif plays the killer doll in all of the "Chucky" films.

Answer: Nightmare on Elm Street

Parents in suburbia killed the man who was killing children in their neighborhood. He comes back to kill the rest of the children in their dreams, but one girl fights back. Wes Craven came up with the idea for 'Nightmare on Elm Street' from reading a series of articles about teenagers in South East Asia who died in their sleep.

This 1984 low budget flick made New Line the house that Freddy built. This is also Johnny Depp's first film.

Answer: Psycho

This 1960 Hitchcock classic changed the way people went to movies. "Psycho" was the first film that people weren't allowed to go in the middle of a showing, so it wouldn't ruin the surprise ending.
Norman Bates runs a motel owned by his mother. A woman who is on the run for stealing money, stops to stay at the motel and is brutally murdered. When her disappearance is investigated, more murders are committed.
10. Reverend Lowe was the unlikely killer in what Stephen King film?

Answer: Silver Bullet

'Silver Bullet' is based on the novella "Cycle of the Werewolf" by Stephen King. A small town endures brutal murders throughout the year. A paralyzed boy figures out what is doing it, and with his sister and uncle, sets out to stop the killer.
