Answer: Burt Lancaster

Burt Lancaster was cast as Wyatt Earp. Kirk Douglas portrayed Doc Holliday. The movie was directed by John Sturges and the screenplay written by Leon Uris. The movie loosely depicted the gunfight involving the Earp brothers and Doc Holliday versus the Clantons.
Other notable actors appearing in the film were Earl Holliman as Deputy Charlie Bassett, John Ireland as hired gunslinger Johnny Ringo, Dennis Hopper as Billy Clanton and Martin Milner as James 'Jimmy' Earp.
Lancaster and Douglas also appeared together in other movies such as "I Walk Alone" (1948), "Seven Days in May" (1964) and "Tough Guys" (1986).
Although none of the actors were nominated for Academy Awards the film was nominated for Film Editing and Sound Recording.

"Death Wish V: The Face of Death" was a 1994 film starring Charles Bronson as Paul Kersey.
The three "Naked Gun" movies were "From the Files of Police Squad!" (1988), "The Smell of Fear" (1991) and "The Final Insult" (1994).
Although the television series "Police Squad" was cancelled after only six episodes the three films inspired by the show fared well at the box office. Leslie Nielsen and Priscilla Presley appeared in all three films. A fourth film was planned after Nielson's death but has yet to be developed.
The actors portraying villains were Ricardo Montalban, Fred Ward and Robert Goulet. George Kennedy was cast as Lieutenant Drubbin's supervisor, Captain Ed Hocken, a role played by Alan North on the TV series. Dr. Joyce Brothers made an appearance in the first movie in the series, "The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!" and had also made a cameo on one of the televisions episodes.

James Robertson Justice, Gregory Peck, David Niven, Anthony Quayle and Anthony Quinn were among the international cast of the film based on a 1957 Alistair MacLean novel of the same name.
This film was made on location at several Mediterranean islands including Gozo and Tino.
After filming a water scene David Niven became severely ill jeopardizing the future of the film and causing the production company to consider abandoning the project. Fortunately Niven recovered enough to finish his remaining scenes within a few weeks.

Despite Westerns being a large portion of his filmography John Wayne was never cast in a film with the word "gun" in the title. He began his career in 1929 as an uncredited football player in the movie "Brown of Harvard". His first Western genre film was "The Big Trail" released in 1930.

He continued to act in a variety of genres, even playing a corpse in "The Deceiver" (1931), until he obtained star billing in "Stagecoach" in 1939. In 1946 he received second billing after Claudette Colbert in "Without Reservations".

It would be the last time he didn't received top billing on a film. His final film was the 1976 release "The Shootist".
