Answer: Manifest Destiny

Larry told him that if he blew it up he'd just hit a wall. But Jedadiah said that he was gonna blow it anyway. When asked why he was doing it he said, "It's Manifest Destiny! You can't control it and neither can I!" The explosion was relatively small and didn't do much anyway.

Answer: His guns wouldn't fire.

Jedadiah, played by Owen Wilson, tried to use his guns on Larry. When they didn't work, he said, "Now you know my shame. Jedadiah's impotent rage. His guns don't fire. Take me away."

Gus was one of the old night guards. He was the shortest of the three, and a very rude person. He often called Larry names like, hot-shot, hot-dog, butterscotch, and lunch box. This line was at the very beginning of the movie, when Larry went to apply for the job, he met Gus (who seemed to dislike him right away) just as he was waking up.

Answer: Dexter

As Cecil was leading Larry through his first tour of the museum, they went to the Hall of African Mammals. Larry pointed out the monkey because he liked them. Cecil then told him that he and the other night guards called him Dexter. Larry also called the monkey by his name several times.

Larry was reading up on his history so that he could do a better job, and better relate to the things and people in the museum who came alive. Reading aloud from the book about Attila the Hunn, he said, "Known as the scourge of God."

It was the Easter Island Head's first line, "Hey Dum-dum!" Everytime he saw Larry, which was several times in the movie, that was what he called him. Another one of his lines, "My Dum-dum want to speak." Jedadiah was the one who called Larry Gigantor.

Octavius, played by Steve Coogan, and Jedadiah, Owen Wilson fought each other throughout most of the movie. Jedadiah even put Octavius into the stockade.

After his first night at the museum, Larry wanted to know more about history so that he could do a better job. He went to Rebecca who worked at the museum. She knew a lot about Sacajawea, and when he asked why, Rebecca said that she'd been writing her dissertation on Sacajawea for four years. She also mentioned that it was more like a 900 page book.

Answer: Ahkmenrah

The tablet was what caused everything in the museum to come to life. Cecil explained to Larry that it had been Ahkmenrah's most prized possession.

Answer: Civil War

It was the American Civil War. They were dressed in gray and blue uniforms, and, toward the end of the movie, to try to convince them to get along, Larry referred to them as the "Civil War guys". He then told them how the war ended.
