Boris Karloff was born William Henry Pratt in London, 1887. He was best remembered for his role as the monster in 'Frankenstein' (1931), 'Bride of Frankenstein' (1935) and 'Son of Frankenstein' (1939). In the film 'The Mummy', an archaeologist accidently read out a spell which awakened Imhotep from his slumber.

After escaping, Imhotep searched Cairo looking for a human sacrifice to resurrect his ancient lover, Princess Ankh-es-en-amon.

A group of security experts were blackmailed into retrieving a top secret government black box decoder which had the facility to spy on other government agencies. Queen Latifah played corrupt prison matron 'Mama Morton' in Murderess Row, a jail where females awaited trial for murder. She was prone to accepting bribes from the inmates to make their life easier behind bars. Queen Latifah gave a rousing rendition of the song 'When You're Good to Mama' during the film.
