We first see Jack and the family at a hotel in London. He tells his wife that he'll "wing it", regarding to his speech. Soon after, Jack is giving his speech in one of the lecture halls at the London School of Economics with a blank notebook in front of him (so he really is "winging it"). During the speech, his wife Cathy and daughter Sally are seen playing outside Buckingham Palace.

Near the end of the attempted attack, Jack is shot in his left shoulder after shooting and killing one of the attackers. Police soon arrive and he is rushed to the hospital to have surgery. The remaining attackers are either arrested or have escaped.

Jack is called to testify before the court against one of the assailants, Sean Miller. He was the one who was captured following the attack outside Buckingham Palace. The man Jack killed was Sean's little brother Patty. The defendant's attorney claimed Sean rushed over to help. Jack then gives his testimony of what really happened. Sean Miller is charged and sent to jail.

Sean Miller is a part of a splinter cell of the Provisional Irish Republican Army (PIRA). He is rescued by other members, including the cell's leader, Kevin O'Donnell. The crew set fire to the convoy vehicles and retrieve the guns from the guards and kill all that are taking Sean to jail. The crew then head to the docks.

The crew travel to North Africa, to a barren wasteland where they are able to somehow hide from any satellite overwatch. There, they train and plan for other upcoming attacks. Sean is unable to focus, lingering on the death of his little brother, and his plan to avenge him.

The impact on the highway left Sally in a very unstable condition. She is sent to the emergency room where the doctors perform immediate surgery. After days in the hospital, she is finally stable but remains in the hospital bed until the surgeons think she has been through a full recovery period.

Admiral Greer and Marty Cantor, agents of the CIA come to the house. Jack is a former member of the CIA, and Admiral Greer tries to convince Jack to come back to the CIA. After the conversation is finished, Jack agrees to come in. He is there to give any intel he possibly can from the attack in London.

After looking through many satellite photos obtained by switching the satellite overwatch timings, Jack seems inconclusive in his findings. He then looks away from his work and sees a CIA agent with long red hair. This brings Jack to his recollection of seeing a redhead driving by in a Jeep at all of the attacks on him.

He remembers her from the attack outside Buckingham Palace and the one at the end of the Naval Academy's campus. Jack then pulls up the images from all of the camps and finds only one that has a woman in it.

Answer: SAS

The British Special Air Service carries out the attack on the camp. They fly by on helicopters and bomb the entire camp. Through the satellite feed, the CIA can see members of the cell getting killed. Unbeknownst to them, Sean and his small crew have already fled the camp.

Answer: CIA agents

Accompanied with Lord Holmes are his aides along with Jack's friend Robby Jackson. Guarding the house are DSS agents and state troopers. The power goes out and Sean Miller, Kevin O'Donnell, Annette (the redhead), and a few other members of the splinter cell arrive at the house. They kill the DSS agents and the state troopers. A cell member accidentally kills one of Lord Holmes' aides, who turned out to be an insider with this splinter cell. Robby then kills that cell member. Other than the attackers, everyone at the house then escapes from an exit in the basement.

After the attack at the house, O'Donnell, Miller, and Annette survive. Jack finds out there are escape boats at the bottom of the cliff, which were supposed to be the attackers' escape route. Jack boards one of the boats alone to try and mislead and get the attackers to chase after him. The rest of those at the Ryans' home are at the bottom of the cliff, hiding in the darkness. By boarding a boat and driving off, the attackers think everyone is aboard the boat. Jack is able to lure the attackers to come after him and then proceeds to defeat them. Afterwards, Jack is left alone with no boat, deep into the bay. Marty receives word of the situation and calls for FBI hostage rescue at Quantico who arrive via helicopter.
