Answer: Sam

Sam Loomis, the alimony-paying, hardware store owner is Marion Cranes's lover, who isn't satisfied with their brief meetings. He is trying to get Marion to spend the rest of her day with him and ditch the office. George (Lowery) is her boss, Tom (Cassidy) is the client she steals from. Hitchcock filmed this introductory scene going in through the window to set the atmosphere of madness.
2. Before heading out to her stay of doom, Marion stops to make a trade at a used car lot. The salesman becomes suspicious when she decides to make a quick change instead of thinking the sale over. He states, "You are in a hurry. Somebody chasing ya?" Who is the curious dealer?

Answer: Charlie

3. As Marion is traveling through the night on the highway, she hears her boss, co- worker and the client whose money she made off with, in her head. Name the person who demands, "Well I ain't about to kiss off $40,000".

Answer: Cassidy

4. When Marion returns to the bank office where she is a secretary, a suggestion for her headache is made. Who poses the question, "Aren't you going to take those pills?"

Answer: Caroline

Caroline is played by Pat Hitchcock, Alfred's daughter. She is Marion's quirky secretarial co-worker. Hitchcock himself, is right outside the office on the sidewalk in a cowboy hat. He was always famous for inserting himself into his pictures and using gimmicks.
5. At the office, as Marion is gathering the deeds for her boss's transaction, the phrase "my sweet little girl" is uttered. By whom is this endearing line spoken?

Answer: Cassidy

Tom Cassidy is played by Frank Albertson, who also appeared in "Bye Bye Birdie" as the Mayor, and on "Andy Griffith", "Gomer Pyle", and "Alfred Hitchcock Hour". He is talking about his baby's wedding present, and referring to his daughter.
Arbogast and Sam Loomis are not present in the office scene.
6. When the large 40,000 dollar clump of Cassidy's is on display at the desk, it makes everyone in the room nervous. Who carefully says, "I don't even want it in the office over the weekend?"

Answer: Lowery

Mr. Lowery is portrayed by Vaughn Taylor. Mr. Lowery is making a decision on how to handle the large sum of money. He addresses this to Marion at her desk. Lowery tries to convince Cassidy not to do a cash transaction of that size. Vaughn also appeared on Hitchcock's thriller series as well as "Streets of San Francisco" and "Ironside" and "Bewitched".

He was in such movies as "The Power" (1968) and "The Unsinkable Molly Brown" (1964).
7. While in the midst of a frustrating and tedious car trade conversation at the saleslot, a closure question is brought up. Who proposes "Can't we just settle this?"

Answer: Marion

Marion is consistently obvious and guilt-ridden. This comes across to everyone she crosses paths with. After a series of questions from California Charlie she becomes irritated and anxious to elude the patrolman who is tailing her.
8. Alcoholic beverages are referenced in this masterpiece. While in the office, who playfully used the taboo line "Where's that bottle you said you had hidden in your desk?"

Answer: Cassidy

Cassidy directs this to Lowery while Caroline and Marion delight in the moment. He mentions that he is dying of "thirstarooni". Tom Cassidy certainly is a colorful character. He makes another reference to the weather, "hot as fresh milk". Albertson's roles have a clownishness to them.
9. One of the voices in Marion's head as she is driving down the highway at night, states, "She's always a bit late on Monday morning". Who makes this statement?

Answer: Caroline

Lowery is asking Caroline if Marion is in yet. This is the office setting, where Lila only speaks to Lowery over the phone and Sam is not present on phone or in the office. Paranoia is really setting in for Marion, although she is determined to move forward.
10. This movie could be sponsor for an antacid. Who claims, at the hotel, "These extended lunch hours give my boss excess acid"?

Answer: Marion

Marion states this to Sam while he is trying to get her to take the afternoon off. Lowery, her boss, depends on Marion to be back from lunch at a reasonable time. Marion sees Carolyn later at the office, and Lila doesn't mention her boss nor is she present at the hotel.
11. After the excitement of a sizeable bank roll is incorporated into the company, who in the office decides, "I'm going to spend this weekend in bed."

Answer: Marion

Marion relates this to Mr. Lowery saying she has a headache but actually has other plans. She tells Caroline she will deposit the money then go home and sleep it off.
12. While all the questions of her associates are running through Marion's mind driving on the dark highway, who deliberates, "It must be some kind of mystery"?

Answer: Lowery

Lowery is having a hard time believing Marion could be capable of such an act since he trusts her for her years of service. The Highway Patrolman doesn't speak much and this isn't one of his comments. Lila doesn't voice her opinion of the situation in this sequence.
13. Marion notes that night, after she loses her way in the storm, that all she needs is sleep and maybe some food. Who advises her, "There's a big diner up the road about 15 miles"?

Answer: Norman

Anthony Perkins who plays Norman Bates, also stars with Jane Fonda in "Tall Story" as a basketball player. The diner is just outside of Fairvale and Marion marvels in knowing she is closer to Sam. Norman later talks her into having dinner with him at the motel.
14. In Marion's reflection of the $40,000 uproar at the office, who cries out, "Hot Creepers!"?

Answer: Cassidy

Cassidy remembers how Marion just sat there while he dumped it out and was scheming. He accuses her of playing up to him, but Cassidy actually was the one getting cute with her. Jeepers Creepers!
15. Everyone who knows Marion is concerned for her fate after she leaves town but who, in a puzzled tone asks her "What is it, Marion?"

Answer: Sam

Marion imagines this right before she sees Mr. Lowery crossing the street as she waits at a light. She becomes alarmed when he turns and looks at her as if he would have been asking her why she wasn't at home. She knows then she is caught in a trap.
