In this almost final scene in the movie Rick Blaine (played by Humphrey Bogart), owner of Rick's Cafe Americain nightclub in Casablanca, is talking to Ilsa Laszlo (played by Ingrid Bergman). She is reluctant to take an airplane out of Casablanca to join her husband Victor (played by Paul Henreid), and instead is wavering about staying in Casablanca with Rick.

He gives her advice with this quote. In the 1944 Academy Awards, "Casablanca" won three Oscars, including Best Picture. Humphrey Bogart was nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his portrayal of Rick, but didn't win the Oscar.

Answer: American Beauty

"American Beauty" has been described as Arthur Miller's play "Death of a Salesman" for the nineties. In the 2000 Academy Awards, "American Beauty" won five Oscars, including Best Picture. Kevin Spacey won Best Actor in a Leading Role for his portrayal of Lester Burnham, an average nobody going through a midlife awakening.

In this scene he is having an argument with his materialistic realtor wife, Carolyn (played by Annette Bening), and says this.

Answer: Mutiny on the Bounty

Captain William Bligh (played wonderfully by Charles Laughton) says this to the mutineers, as he and 18 loyal crewmembers are set adrift in a 23-foot open boat. In a remarkable feat of navigation, they sailed 3,618 miles to safety on the island of Timor.

Some of the mutiny ringleaders were eventually captured and brought back to England, and three of them were executed. This film is based on a true story. Although there have been several different versions of the Bounty story filmed over the years, the 1935 version (starring Charles Laughton and Clark Gable) is the only one that won Best Picture in the Academy Awards.

The 1962 version (starring Marlon Brando and Trevor Howard) was nominated for Best Picture but did not win.

In this scene Dr. Hannibal Lecter (played wonderfully by Anthony Hopkins) concludes his telephone call to FBI agent Clarice Starling (played by Jodie Foster) with this famous quote, and then casually strolls down a busy Caribbean street. "The Silence of the Lambs" was only the third movie to win all five major Oscars: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Screenplay (as of March 2006).

The others were Frank Capra's "It Happened One Night" in 1934 and "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" in 1975.

Schizophrenic mathematician John Nash spoke this line to his wife, Alicia, who is in the audience at the Nobel Prize awards ceremony. In this scene Clemenza (played by Richard Castellano) has told driver Paulie Gatto (played by John Martino) to stop their car so he could relieve himself at the side of the road. While the car is stopped, Rocco Lampone (played by Tom Rosqui), sitting in the back seat, executes Paulie with a gunshot to the back of the head because he helped set up an earlier assassination attempt on the Godfather (played by Marlon Brando).

As Clemenza and Rocco leave the car sitting there, Clemenza instructs Rocco to leave the gun but take the cannolis that he had purchased earlier for his wife. "The Godfather" won three Oscars in the 1973 Academy Awards, including Best Picture. Marlon Brando won Best Actor in a Leading Role, but refused to accept the award. Al Pacino, James Caan, and Robert Duvall were all nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role, but none of them won the Oscar.

Answer: Gone with the Wind

In this scene Scarlett O'Hara (played by Vivien Leigh) and Mammy (played by Hattie McDaniel) are discussing where Scarlett should temporarily move to. When Mammy says, "Savannah would be better for ya. You just get in trouble in Atlanta," Scarlett pretends to not understand what she means. Mammy says, "You know what trouble I's talkin' 'bout," and then this quote.

In the 1940 Academy Awards, "Gone with the Wind" won nine Oscars, including Best Picture, Vivien Leigh for Best Actress in a Leading Role, and Hattie McDaniel for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. Clark Gable and Olivia de Havilland were nominated for Oscars but did not win.
