I enjoy this very strange and memorable scene. Karen is played by Teri Austin, best known for "Knots Landing".

Jenny runs into Jack at the clock store. The myriad of clocks and time
measurement devices in the store are memorable. Jenny is distracted from shopping and the tension builds in the failing love triangle of Carson, Jenny and Jack.

Cain often appears in dark sunglasses and a black leather jacket. He smokes cigarettes and says what needs to be said. The clever interplay between Carter and Cain and the others is priceless.

Cain is not referring to an actual cat. He is referring to how to best dispose of Karen's body. One of Carter's personalities says this to explain how to dispose of Karen.

He wants to have the body placed in a bag and then the bag tossed in the river.

Current SAG President and former "Beverly Hills 90210" star Gabrielle Carteris played Nan. Carter takes advantage of her belief and trust in him to betray her. Best known as the character Andrea Zuckerman from TV, I enjoyed seeing her in this role which was a change for her.

In this scene, Nan is waiting for her boyfriend when she asks Carter to give her and her son a ride home. She describes her boyfriend as irresponsible and makes a pass at Carter. Nan's boyfriend is never depicted in the film.

Answer: Nan is not related to Dr. Lynn Waldheim.

Dr. Lynn Waldheim is not related to Nan. She has experience dealing with multiple personality disorder and child development research. Nan does not even know Dr. Lynn Waldheim. Dr. Lynn Waldheim knows of Nan once Nan and Karen are presumed dead. The police rely on the doctor's experience and expertise to help profile and stop Carter.

Jenny is a doctor and that is where she meets Jack. She is taking care of Jack's sickly wife. Carter takes several years off away from his job to spend time with his family and raise his daughter.

Jenny works full-time as a doctor.

Jenny and Sara discuss the affair that Jenny is having with Jack. Sara is blindly supportive of Carter but it is nice that she supports fidelity in marriage.

This is a very tricky movie. Sara is played by Mel Harris who was the star of the tv show "Thirtysomething" and the movie "K-9". Gregg Henry co-starred in "Body Double", which Brian DePalma also directed in addition to this tricky film.

Frances Sternhagen, who was in "Misery", played Dr. Lynn Waldheim. Lolita Davidovich played Jenny.

Sara is a strong advocate for Jenny to ignore Carter's off behavior. She refers to him as a great catch several times. Jenny and Sara often talk at that park. Sara is also attracted to Jack.
Sara is not in the movie very much but when she is, she is most often in the park.

Carter does not like the way that Karen reacts when he mentions his plans. He then intentionally blows sand into her face when he sneezes and then chloroforms her.
