4. (1998) Four young friends scrape together a lot of money to get one of their number into a high stakes poker game. Unfortunately the game is crooked, and before they know it they have only a week to pay back a cool half million pounds. Things get really complicated as they plan to steal the money from their dishonest neighbours, who are in turn stealing the money from some naive dope growers. Before you know it pretty much everyone, except our four young friends, is dead, including the crook that they owe the money to.
5. (2002) It's the year 2054, and criminals are being caught before they actually commit their crimes. This is possible because of the precognitive powers of three genetically engineered people. It seems like an ideal system until Detective John Anderton finds himself framed for the future murder of a man he's never met. With the shoe on the other foot, he finds he's unwilling to go quietly, without at least finding out about the man he's supposed to be killing.
6. (2001) David, played by Tom Cruise, hasn't had to work very hard for anything, it's all been handed to him. But his life starts to get more than a touch bizarre after he's in a bad car accident with a jealous lover. In fact, he soon comes to realize that he never really recovered from the car accident, and the life that he thinks he's living is merely a fantasy.
7. (1999) What if nothing is the way we think it is? What if life, as we think we know it, is nothing more than a gigantic fantasy being played to keep us placated while our energy is used to help some super-intelligent machines rule the world?
8. (1987) When Andrew Bogomil is shot while investigating the Alphabet Robberies, Axel Foley is back on the job. Once again he teams up with Rosewood and Taggart, and together they solve the crimes and bring the bad guys to justice.
9. (1995) One of the few remaining independent record stores is in financial trouble, and it's up to the staff to see that it doesn't get swallowed up by one of the big chains. Of course while they're working so hard to save the store, they get a better idea of who they are, and what makes them tick.
10. (2001) Because the U.S. hasn't yet entered the war, Captain Rafe McCawley volunteers to fly for The British Royal Air Force. When he is listed as M.I.A. his best friend and fellow pilot, Danny, falls in love with his girlfriend. Tensions run high when Rafe returns, until the Japanese attack, and all of a sudden the U.S. is very much in the war.
11. (2003) A big time drug lord is being transferred to prison by L.A.P.D. But he's upped the ante by offering $100 million to anyone who can make him a free man, so they've called in their expert team to make the transfer as secure as they can.
12. (2003) An attempted assassination of the President has provoked a war between all mutants and humans. A war that is being led by William Stryker, a man who has been rumoured to have performed experiments on mutants.
13. (2001) A senator's daughter is kidnapped from her school, by one of her teachers, right out from under the Secret Service agents that were supposed to be guarding her. Alex Cross is dragged into the case, assisted by one of the guilt-ridden agents who failed to keep the little girl safe. But it soon turns out that not everything is as straight forward as it seems.
14. (2002) Toula is 30, Greek, and she works in her family's restaurant. She manages to break away from the family business, but not from the fact that she's Greek. Life gets really interesting when she falls in love with a W.A.S.P., who actually wants to marry her.
15. (2001) At one time they were all child prodigies, but now they're just a normal, okay so maybe not really normal, dysfunctional family. Years after abandoning them, and strapped for cash, their estranged father fakes a fatal illness, in order to be accepted back into the folds of his family.
