Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which actors play the future versions of Starsky and Hutch in the movie?

Answer: Paul Michael Glaser and David Soul

Paul Michael Glaser (Starsky) and David Soul (Hutch) played the original California cops in the TV show from 1975-1979. As many TV actors do when their show is adapted to a movie, the two of them portray older versions of the new Starsky and Hutch in a very amusing cameo. They don't actually have names, but they are clearly partners in fighting crime.
2. What kind of car does Starsky drive?

Answer: Ford Gran Torino

Starsky's ride is an awesome red and white Ford Torino. He is the only one who drives it, ever! Despite his refusal to let anyone else touch it, he drives like a madman. Throughout the production of the movie, 10 Torinos were totaled because of various stunts. In the closing credits, we see a lot of that stuntwork.
3. What is NOT one of the things that drug dealer, Reese Feldman (Vince Vaughn), mentions that costs money?

Answer: His house

Obviously his house costs money, but he doesn't bring it up. He also mentions his yacht and his livelihood - cocaine. He tells this to one of his henchman, while bawling him out before he kills him. Feldman is the main villain of the film.
4. What is the name of Huggy Bear's iguana?

Answer: Corky

Corky is Huggy Bear's (Snoop Dogg) beloved iguana. When Starsky and Hutch visit Huggy to get some information, Starsky accidentally shoots off Corky's tail. Huggy's body guards want to hurt Starsky in return, but Huggy informs them that his tail will grow right back. Huggy Bear describes himself as an "urban informant".

Although he is involved in many shady dealings, he is a trustworthy guy.
5. What role does Patton Oswalt play?

Answer: Deejay

"King of Queens" actor Patton Oswalt, plays the deejay at the disco where Starsky and Hutch take their dates. Starsky is unknowingly high on coke, and gets into an argument with a guy named Dancin' Rick. The deejay holds a dance contest between the two of them. Starsky clearly does better, but the title is handed to Dancin' Rick instead. Starsky whips out his gun, and starts firing in a fit of anger. Hutch has to bring him down.
6. Who does Huggy Bear actually quote while he and Hutch visit Hutch's young friend Willis in the hospital?

Answer: Alexander Pope

"To err is human, to forgive divine" is a quote by writer Alexander Pope. Huggy believes it to be from the Bible. When Hutch mocks the quote and its originator, and asks who said it, Huggy replies "I believe it was God, the greatest mack of all!" Reese Feldman has his own version of the quote, claiming it was Shakespeare who said: "To err is human, but to forgive, well that's right on!"
7. Who does NOT have a speaking role as a Bay City Kitty cheerleader?

Answer: Brooke Burke

Brooke Burke is not in the movie at all. Amy Smart (Holly), Carmen Electra (Staci), and Brande Roderick (Heather) play the members of the Bay City Kitties, the cheerleaders for the Bay City Bobcats. Starsky and Hutch meet Holly and Staci when they question Heather about the death of her boyfriend, who worked for Reese Feldman. Feldman is the one who killed him.
8. What is NOT one of the things Starsky includes in his report about Hutch?

Answer: Stealing contraband

One of the great things about Starsky and Hutch is that they have such conflicting personalities. Starsky is an anal-retentive cop who does his job entirely by the book. Hutch is more laid-back, but often does a lackluster job. Starsky files a report about his new partner, and Hutch is furious when he finds out about it, but the two of them patch things up.
9. What aliases do Starsky and Hutch use at the Nearly There Foundation party?

Answer: Maury Finkle and Shakes McGinty

Starsky plays Finkle with a Brooklyn accent, and claims that he is the owner of the biggest lighting fixture chain in the Southland. This is similar to Ben Stiller's character Tony Perkis Sr. from "Heavyweights". Hutch claims that McGinty is a Texas oil tycoon. Owen Wilson's real-life Texas accent isn't much different from McGinty's!
10. What song plays as Starsky revs up his new car and the credits begin?

Answer: Aerosmith's "Sweet Emotion"

The funky music of Aerosmith ends the movie as we see various stunts and out-takes from the movie. It synchronizes very nicely with the action onscreen.
