1. David Norris was a young and ambitious politician. In 2006, with the help from his assistant, Charlie, he ran for the Senate. David first met the woman of his dreams, Elise in the most unlikely circumstance. Where did they meet?

Upon seeing this strange scene, David ran for his life as fast as he could, but he was caught and brought to an empty warehouse.

3. In the big empty warehouse, Richardson explained that the mysterious men in black suits were people who made sure things went according to plan. According to Richardson, what would his men do if David told other people about the recalibration that they performed on Charlie?

8. After eleven months, David was back running for the US Senate again when Charlie showed him the news of Elise's imminent marriage with Adrian. David felt that he was destined to be together with Elise so he asked for Harry's help to teach him how to navigate through the city by just using the doors as portals. Harry felt guilty for his action and agreed to help David. He taught David only to turn the door knobs clockwise. Also, he advised David to use as many doors as possible because the people at the Adjustment Bureau would lose track of him every time he used a new door.

The first portal transported them to the magnificent Yankee stadium. David found another door at the stadium and he opened the door. The door eventually led them to Liberty Island. Elise felt very confused and did not know what had actually happened. David calmed her down and said they should meet the Chairman of the Adjustment Bureau.

10. Ignoring Harry's advice, David turned the next door knob to the left and he ended up in the Adjustment Bureau Headquarter. Time was running out as more people were sent to arrest him. Elise and he ran for their lives. They were eventually trapped on a rooftop, surrounded by the people from the Bureau. Realizing that they had no place to run, they hugged and kissed. After the people from the Bureau were gone, Harry showed up and brought them a message. What was it?

After they were trapped on the rooftop, David and Elise hugged and kissed. The Bureau members that surrounded them disappeared into thin air immediately. Harry then showed up and told them that the Chairman had decided to rewrite their fate as David had risked everything for Elise, which resulted in a serious deviation from the original plan.
