Answer: Steve Austin

Steve Austin is the name of both the fictional six million dollar man (played by Lee Majors) and the wrestler turned actor who plays villian Dan Paine, the right hand man and bodyguard for ex-CIA agent James Munroe (Eric Roberts). He is part of the team propping up General Garza, the brutal dictator of Vilena.

In Adam Sandler's "The Longest Yard", Austin and Terry Crews are cast opposite each other, just as they are in this movie. Austin plays a guard and Crews plays an inmate.

During his wrestling career Austin was known as 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin. He gained huge popularity in the 1990s as an anti-hero in the WWF. He won 19 championships throughout his career.

Jason Statham plays good guy Lee Christmas, a member of Barney Ross' (Stallone) mercenary team. Christmas is a former SAS soldier (the British special forces) and a specialist in close quarters combat with bladed weaponry.

Arnold Schwarzenegger plays a rival mercenary leader to Barney Ross (Stallone), named Trent Mauser. IMDB has the name as Trench but in the movie Stallone says Trent quite distinctly.

Bruce Willis plays Mr. Church, who offers both Mauser and Ross the same job of taking down General Garza. Mauser declines so Ross takes it. Unknown to Ross at the time Mr. Church is actually a CIA agent.

Mickey Rourke is Tool, the mission coordinator and a former teammate of Ross. He owns a tattoo parlor in New Orleans where Ross' team is based.

Terry Crews played in the NFL for the Rams, Chargers, Redskins, and Eagles. After that he turned to acting. In the movie he plays Hale Caesar, a weapons specialist on Barney Ross' (Stallone) mercenary team. He and Ross destroy the helicopter that Munroe is going to use to escape at the end of the movie.

As a UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championships) champion, Couture competed in a record 15 title fights. He won both the light heavyweight and the heavyweight championships. He was one of the first members of the UFC Hall of Fame.

Gary Daniels plays The Brit, a villian who is one of Munroe's (Eric Roberts) henchman. Together he and Paine (Steve Austin) are the muscle behind Munroe's machinations. He is killed by Christmas (Jason Statham) and Yang (Jet Li) in the final battle.

Daniels was 22-4, 21 by KO, as a kickboxer before retiring and turning to acting. Since then he has appeared in more than 50 films, mostly action B-movies. After "The Expendables" he reteamed with Steve Austin and Eric Roberts for the straight to DVD "Hunt to Kill".

Eric Roberts plays James Munroe, an ex-CIA agent and the man behind General Garza. He and his henchmen are the ones really running the show. When Garza realizes the mistake he made trusting Munroe, Munroe kills him before he can turn to the good side. Ross (Stallone) and Christmas (Statham) kill him simultaneously.

Eric Roberts is the brother of superstar Julia Roberts. Eric debuted on screen in 1978's "King of the Gypsies", for which he was nominated for an Academy Award. His most recent role to garner wide recognition was as Sal Maroni in "The Dark Knight" with Christian Bale and Heath Ledger.

Answer: Sylvester Stallone

Sylvester Stallone plays Barney Ross, the leader of the mercenary team known as 'the Expendables', from which the movie gets its title. Stallone co-wrote the script along with David Callaham and directed the movie. The movie pays tribute the the action movies of the 1980s and 1990s and stars the veterans of many of those films, along with a crop of newer action heroes.

Stallone gained fame by writing and starring in "Rocky" in 1976. The movie won three Oscars including Best Picture and spawned five sequels. Stallone went on to star in "First Blood" which introduced audiences to another iconic character - John Rambo. Three sequels followed the first movie's success.

Jet Li portrays Yin Yang, a martial arts expert on Barney Ross' (Stallone) mercenary team. The Chinese concept of yin yang is the concept that polar opposites balance each other and give rise to all that is. Yang and Christmas (Jason Statham) kill The Brit (Gary Daniels) is the final battle of the movie.

Li began as a wushu champion in China before turning to movies there. In China he starred in many martial arts movies before breaking through into the US market in "Lethal Weapon 4". Li is the star of "Unleashed", "Hero", and "Romeo Must Die". He stars opposite Jason Statham in "War" and "The One". Li also appears in the third mummy movie "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" as Emperor Han.

Answer: Dolph Lundgren

Dolph Lundgren plays Gunnar Jensen, a sniper and member of Barney Ross' (Stallone) mercenary team at the beginning of the movie. After the opening mission he is let go by Ross because he is unstable. Jensen joins Munroe's (Eric Roberts) team but after being wounded and thinking he is about to die, he tells Ross' team about the Layout of Garza's palace. He rejoins Ross' team later, while recuperating from his wounds at the end of the movie.

Lundgren received his big break playing the villian Ivan Drago opposite Stallone in "Rocky IV". His first starring role was as He-Man in "Masters of the Universe". He then went on to appear in "Showdown in Little Tokyo" with Brandon Lee and "Universal Soldier" with Van Damme, among other projects.
