2. David Lynch is most certainly known for his bizarre style of cinema, and this one is no exception. In fact, this one is his first feature-length film. 4. I have seen some unusual zombie films in my time, but this one is a real quirky keeper! A group of college friends plan a fun weekend of partying at a riverside cabin. Question 5 of 10
5. Here is another wacky one from 2014 that is, to me, not only weird, but also a bit disturbing. It stars Justin Long as a podcaster who goes to interview an older man he finds to be mysterious and interesting. It doesn't take long for him to realize that he made the biggest mistake of his entire life! What is the name of this unique flick? Hint

Question 7 of 10
7. Rose McGowan stars in this weird horror thriller as a radio talk show psychiatrist who moves back to her hometown after her father dies. Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. This 1989 film is, in my opinion...weird with a capital W! It stars Billy Warlock who plays the role of teenager Bill Whitney. Bill has always felt that he is the outcast of his family, and does not fit in with his parents and sister. There is an obvious reason for that. What is the name of this 80's shocker?

Answer: Society

Without giving too much away, this one has to be seen to be believed! The climax of this film is one that, even to this day, I have not seen emulated by any other horror movie! Brian Yuzna is the director of this memorable horror gem.
2. David Lynch is most certainly known for his bizarre style of cinema, and this one is no exception. In fact, this one is his first feature-length film. It is shot in black-and-white and involves an odd looking man named Henry, a crying beast-like baby, and a tiny lady who sings from inside Henry's radiator. Name this wonderfully weird gem.

Answer: Eraserhead

This classic has weird written all over it...and of course I mean that in the best way! There are a lot of unexplained things in this film that make no sense. Why is the baby deformed and alien-like? Why does Henry wear his hair the way he does? And where the heck does that little singing lady in the radiator come from? Is it all in his head? This kind of film could only come from David Lynch!
3. A killer car tire with telekinetic powers becomes obsessed with a woman, follows her, and murders along the way. It uses its power to make its victims heads explode! What is the name of this very unusual 2010 film that takes place in a desert?

Answer: Rubber

This French comedy/horror movie is written and directed by Quentin Dupieux. It made its debut at the Cannes Film Festival in 2010, but failed at the box office, earning only a little more than 20% back of what was spent making the film.
4. I have seen some unusual zombie films in my time, but this one is a real quirky keeper! A group of college friends plan a fun weekend of partying at a riverside cabin. Unfortunately for them, things wind up going horribly wrong when they are terrorized and killed, one by one, by little furry zombie critters. What is the title of this 2014 horror/comedy?

Answer: Zombeavers

Yes folks...this film is actually about beavers that become zombies. A canister that is filled with toxic chemicals rolls off a moving truck and right into a river, which causes the beavers to become infected. The really strange part of this film is that when a human becomes infected from a beaver bite, it causes them to turn into a zombeaver as well! Singer John Mayer has a cameo in this film.

Answer: Tusk

If you guessed that the reason for the film's title is because the main character is transformed into a walrus, then you are correct! Very good make-up work in this film directed by Kevin Smith. Haley Joel Osment and Johnny Depp also star.
6. A woman is forced to have sexual relations and suffers very bad consequences in this 2013 horror flick. At first, it looks as though she has an STD...but it turns out to be far worse. What is the name of this film that is a bit different from others in the same genre?

Answer: Contracted

Unfortunately for Samantha, she begins showing very strange signs that something is definitely wrong with her body. Her eye gets blood red, she gets dizzy, and later on she even has maggots coming out of her rotting body...just to name a few of her symptoms. The kicker is that she is slowly becoming a zombie, and her doctor cannot figure out what is wrong with her.
7. Rose McGowan stars in this weird horror thriller as a radio talk show psychiatrist who moves back to her hometown after her father dies. She lives in the house she grew up in as a child, and winds up becoming the object of affection for the neighborhood paperboy. This wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't a sociopath! Which of these choices is the title of this 2011 movie?

Answer: Rosewood Lane

'Rosewood Lane' is directed by Victor Salva. There is something very strange and non human-like about the local paperboy. He seems to have strange powers and abilities, which makes it very hard to escape him.
8. This 1979 Canadian, sci-fi, horror classic is directed by David Cronenberg. It stars Samantha Eggar and Oliver Reed. Eggar plays a woman named Nola who is the birthmother of a group of murderous, blonde, dwarf-like children. What is the name of this unusually interesting film?

Answer: The Brood

This one's a keeper. Nola is going through a custody battle with her husband for their five-year old daughter. She is being monitored by her doctor at the Somafree Institute which specializes in a technique called "psychoplasmics", which allows patients who have mental problems to use their bodies as a way to release their bottled up emotions. Unfortunately for the victims in this film, every time Nola is upset and/or angry, she releases these little almost human-like creatures from her body. They are blonde, toothless, and colorblind, but most of all...they are very deadly! They manifest off of Nola's emotions, and when this happens...people die!
9. This 2014 creeper is about a woman named Sarah who keeps waking from blackouts with the feeling like something isn't right. She has disturbing dreams about being murdered and finds bloody clues, as if it really happened. Then of course there is that very strange guy named Dale who moved in next door. What is the name of this strange, yet clever horror film that keeps you guessing throughout?

Answer: Come Back to Me

Dale is a very strange young man with a very strange ability. He has the power to bring people back to life. This would be a good thing, if only he didn't also have the yearning to murder people! These two things combined make a very deadly recipe! Once Dale realizes his great power, he chooses to abuse it rather than use it for good doings. So the result is that he likes to kill people, then revive them...repeatedly!
10. The year 1982 gave us this quirky horror/comedy about a loner named Duane Bradley who carries around a large, locked wicker basket. Inside that basket is his Siamese twin brother named Belial. Name this film that is directed by Frank Henenlotter.

Answer: Basket Case

This weirdly entertaining film follows the story of Duane and his creepy, twin brother Belial. Belial lives mostly in the large basket that Duane carries around with him. When people first meet Duane, he seems to be a normal, pleasant person. Problem is his hot-tempered, deformed brother Belial has no problem killing people...especially when it's time to get revenge on the team of doctors who violently separated them as youngsters.

This left both brothers with mental scars, as well as the very large ugly scar Duane has on the side of his torso from where Belial was removed!
