"American Beauty" (1999) stars Kevin Spacey as Lester Burnham, a suburban middle-aged husband and father, who is going through a "mid-life" crisis. He is attracted to his daughter's cheerleader friend.

"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (1992) gives us teenage Kristy Swanson as Buffy, a flighty cheerleader, who becomes the "Slayer" of vampires.

"Bring It On" (2000) has Kristen Dunst and Eliza Dushku in a competition between high school cheer-leading squads for the championship.
2. "Spider-Man", "Lethal Weapon", "The Evil Dead"

"Spider-Man" (2002) is the first of the films about the Marvel super-hero. Nerdy, high-schooler Peter Parker is bitten by a "genetically modified spider", obtains superpowers and becomes a crime fighter. Tobey Maguire appears in two sequels.

"Lethal Weapon" (1987) was the first film of the franchise which pairs Riggs and Murtaugh as buddy cops. The team, played by Mel Gibson and Danny Glover, continue to play the same characters through "Lethal Weapon 4" from 1998.

"The Evil Dead" (1981) features Bruce Campbell as 'Ash' Williams, fighter of evil; a role he reprised in "Evil Dead II" (1987) and "Ash vs. Evil Dead" (2015).

"Manhattan" is Woody Allen's 1979 comedy-drama about NY television writer Isaac Davis, the break-up of his marriage and his affair with a high school girl.

"Misery" (1990) is Stephen King's story about novelist Paul Sheldon, his car accident and being nursed by his "#1 fan", Annie Wilkes.

"The Royal Tenenbaums" (2001) is about Royal Tenenbaum, his divorce and his three gifted children: Chas - a math prodigy, Rich - a tennis prodigy, and adopted daughter Margo - a playwright.

"From Here to Eternity" (1953) starts at Pearl Harbor just before the attack; it features one of the most famous beach scenes of all time (Kerr and Lancaster).

"Chariots of Fire" (1981) describes the trials and tribulations of two British sprinters competing at the 1924 Olympics in Paris, France, and their trial races in the sand (cue the theme song).

Wes Anderson's 2012 beautiful film, "Moonrise Kingdom", is set on the fictional island of New Penzance in New England, in the mid 1960s. It is about coming-of-age, love and loss at the beach.

The "X-Men" movie franchise began in 2000; it is about mutants with special powers. Professor Charles Xavier, having been confined to a wheelchair, begins a private academy to help the mutants to use their powers wisely.

Photographer 'Jeff' Jeffries breaks his leg, and is immobilized in a wheelchair in "Rear Window" (1954), when he thinks he sees a murder occurring in an apartment.

"Forrest Gump" (1994) is the story of major events of the 1960s and 1970s, as seen through the eyes of a slow-witted but loving young man. While fighting in the Vietnam War, he helps save the life of Lt. Dan, now confined to a wheelchair.

In "Iron Man" (2008) Tony Stark is a billionaire engineer who owns Stark Industries and devises a special 'weaponized' suit to fight evil.

"Annie" (1982) is derived from the comics. It is about an orphan in the 1930s who is taken in by a billionaire, Oliver "Daddy" Warbucks, who is attempting to find Annie's long-lost parents.

"Indecent Proposal" (1993) is the story of a very wealthy man who offers a loving, but financially-challenged couple, one million dollars to spend a night with the wife.

One of the films where the White House has a co-starring role is the 1996 science fiction movie, "Independence Day", where extra-terrestrials come to invade and destroy the Earth.

Lee Daniel's "The Butler" (2013) tells the story of White House butler Cecil Gaines, as he served eight presidents over 34 years, until his retirement in 1986.

The plot of 1993's "Dave" involves a sitting US president who goes into a coma and is replaced by Dave Kovic, an average citizen who is an uncanny look-a-like.
8. "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest", "Misery", "High Anxiety"

Milos Forman's 1975 film, "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest", is set in a mental institution where rebel Randall McMurphy is constantly challenging the abusive and despotic Nurse Ratched.

"Misery" (1990) centers upon writer Paul Sheldon's car accident and former nurse, Annie Wilkes, and her attempts to heal(?) and hold him captive.

Mel Brooks' parody "High Anxiety" (1977) is set in the Psychoneurotic Institute for the Very, Very Nervous, where Dr. Thorndyke must confront his own psychological issues, and deal with the very strange Nurse Diesel.

The animated movie "Frozen" (2013) is about two sisters, Elsa and Anna. Elsa has been crowned Queen of Arendelle, but accidentally turns the kingdom into perpetual winter; her younger sister, with the help of some friends, must save the day.

"Little Women" (1933, 1949, 1994) is based on the novel by Louisa May Alcott which is the "coming-of-age" story of four sisters, Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy, during the American Civil War.

"Practical Magic" (1998) tells of sisters Sally and Gillian Owens, cursed witches with magical powers, who are looking for 'true love'.
10. "Good Morning, Vietnam", "Airheads", "Play Misty for Me"

Answer: radio stations

In "Good Morning, Vietnam" (1987), DJ Adrian Cronauer is sent to Vietnam during the war to work at the U.S. Armed Forces Radio Station, where he shakes things up.

The 1994 comedy "Airheads" is about three band members who go to a radio station to play their demo tape, but wind up holding everyone hostage.

"Play Misty for Me" (1971) was directed by Clint Eastwood who also starred as a disc jockey at a radio station who gets involved with a 'demented' fan.
