The school principal, Ed Rooney (Jeffrey Jones), sets out to prove that Ferris Bueller (Matthew Broderick) is not actually sick after he takes his ninth sick day for the year. Ferris is just out for a day of fun with his unwilling and neurotic best friend, Cameron Fry (Alan Ruck), and his beautiful girlfriend Sloane (Mia Sara) along for the ride.

At the time this movie was made, Matthew Broderick was dating Jennifer Grey, who plays his sister Jeanne.

Despite his father's warnings, Nemo (voiced by Alexander Gould), a young clownfish, ventures into the open sea and is taken by a scuba diver. Marlin is befriended along the way by a regal tang named Dory (voiced by Ellen DeGeneres), and must brave sharks, jellyfish and turtles to get to his son.

The success of this film led to two further "Final Destination" movies. "Final Destination 2" contains one of the greatest car crash scenes ever filmed and many inventive death scenes. Unfortunately it also led to "Final Destination 3". The less said about this movie the better.

Richmond Arquette, who played an intern in "Fight Club", is a sibling of David, Patricia, Rosanna and Alexis (born Robert) Arquette, all of whom are actors.
