The movie is "La Belle Noiseuse" by Jacques Rivette. It's an unusual, hard to watch but interesting drama guiding us through the growth of a trusting relationship between an artist and a nude model. Nudity is an essential part of the plot for obvious reasons, but also shows us the model's vulnerability, and awkwardness of the situation. It must've been hard to perform, considering the almost mechanical atmosphere present in the scenes where Piccoli directs his model into a pose, or helps her assume it.

It's Ridley Scott's "G.I. Jane", a drama about women in the army that shows nudity to depict the lack of privacy and personal dignity given to the main character by the establishment. Demi handles the situation well, and doesn't show her embarrassment.

The movie is "Calendar Girls". This one juggles with nudity as an esthetic phenomenon used for a good cause. It centers around a group of small town older ladies who pose nude to fight leukemia. They stir up some small town moral issues in the process. Dame Helen plays group leader.

The movie is called "Iris". Iris Murdoch was an emancipated woman writing about provocative topics including sexuality, back in the 1930s. Nudity is there to show her degree of personal freedom and lack of inhibitions as a contrast to the time she lives in. An older version of Iris Murdoch in the same movie is played by Judi Dench.

The movie is "The Muse". Sharon plays an eccentric and mentally unstable woman who inspires Hollywood script writers. The nudity is comedic. She works, with Andie McDowell's husband pretty much controlling his life, and catches Andie off guard by lying naked in her marital bed, and inviting her to join, like it's the most common thing in the world.

The movie is "Babel" by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, and is a drama following the lives of people in different countries, linked by accidental events. The nudity here depicts emotional and sexual despair of the character struggling with discrimination.

Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman (also married in real life at the time) play a married couple trying to get over an intimate crisis by participating in a high class swinger party. Nicole's nudity is there to signal intimacy between the two.

This is both rebellious and comedic. Neve's character is a wannabe actress who spends her birthday being exploited on her restaurant job. She gets fed up at the very end of the movie, strips naked, and makes a monologue for the shocked audience.

This is an interesting horror juggling with death as a philosophical category. For the entire duration of the movie, you can't be sure if Christina's character is dead, or being held hostage by the coroner played by Liam Neeson. Nudity here has a "cycle of life" purpose. You are born naked, so you have to die that way as well.

Christina was also in two out of three incorrect answer movies, "The Addams Family", and "Black Snake Moan".

This is a movie about various people trying to become US citizens in various ways. Alice plays an Australian wannabe actress sleeping with an immigration agent to get a Green Card, so the nudity serves as blackmail.
