Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What are the names of the kids who appear at the beginning of the movie?

Answer: Scott and Laurie

In the beginning of the movie, Scott and Laurie are coloring in a Sillyville coloring book. They are interrupted by their dog who wants them to play fetch with him. The children leave to go outside and when they come back they realize that the dog is missing.

They look at the coloring book and see that he has become one of the characters. Not long after, they realize that their dog has been brought into the coloring book. They are then surrounded by rainbows and disappear. They find out that Sillywhim (a resident of Sillyville) has brought them into Sillyville as well as their dog.
2. What is the name of the dog who gets magicked into the coloring book?

Answer: Barney

Barney is a Basset Hound. He has long floppy ears and loves to play fetch.
In the beginning of the movie he is looking at a coloring book that his owners left behind. Suddenly, he is surrounded by rainbows and disappears into the coloring book. We learn later that it is Sillywhim who has brought him into the land of Sillyville with her magic wand.
3. The kids are sent to Sillyville in hopes that they will be able to help with a problem. What is the problem?

Answer: The colored families aren't talking to each other.

Sillyville consists of several different colored families. They used to all sing and dance and have fun together. Sillywhim explains that one day all of the colors just stopped talking to each other. No one knows the real reason why the colors are fighting so now everyone just avoids each other.
4. Who is the one person who can visit all of the colors without the chance of offending them?

Answer: Sillywhim

Sillywhim is the woman who magicked Barney, Scott, and Laurie into Sillyville. She got her name because she is silly and always acts on a whim. She is saddened by the thought of all the colors avoiding each other and as a result the colors on her clothing have faded away. Now her entire outfit is black and white and she is the only person in Sillyville whose clothes bear no other color.

She is also the only person in Sillyville who can visit all of the colored families without the chance of offending them with a color that isn't their own.
5. The kids can visit the different colored families on one condition. What is that condition?

Answer: They have to be turned invisible.

Sillywhim wants to take the kids to meet all of the colored families so that they can see for themselves how nice everyone in Sillyville really is. She suggests that because Scott and Laurie's clothes are so colorful they should be turned invisible and keep very quiet so as not to offend anyone.
6. Which of the colors is visited first?

Answer: The Blue Twirlypops

The Blue Twirlypops consist of three men, all wearing blue. They sing a song about Michael Finnigan and an Austrian that went yodeling. They are located in the town square.
7. What are the Green Jingleheimers supposed to be?

Answer: Children

The Green Jingleheimers are two boys who love to hop around and be near green things. All of the colored families in Sillyville are human.
8. Where is the Red Bittybootie family located?

Answer: On their front porch

The Bittybootie family consists of a mother, a father, and their four children.
They like to sit on their porch, wear red, and talk about red things.
9. Which colored family does not exist in Sillyville?

Answer: The Orange Popsicles

There is no orange family. The only colors featured in the movie are red, blue, yellow, green, and purple.
10. What happens in the end of the movie that makes all of the colors come together and finally see how silly they are being by avoiding each other?

Answer: They all come to help someone who got hurt.

While trying to figure a way to reunite the colors, Sillywhim trips over a step and hurts her ankle. Scott and Laurie call for help and all of the colors come running. Each gives a cloth of their own color so that Sillywhim's ankle can be wrapped. After seeing how beautiful the cloths look together they realize that they all look just as beautiful with each other and they all become friends again.
