Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. I kept saying that I was late for something. Who voiced me?

Answer: Bill Thompson

Thompson, born on July 8th, 1913 in Terry Haute, Indiana, voiced the White Rabbit. Alice noticed the White Rabbit running and he mentioned that he was very late. The White Rabbit crawled through a rabbit hole and Alice went after him. Once Alice got to Wonderland, she continued to chase the White Rabbit throughout the place since he made her curious as to where he was going.

The White Rabbit then went to his home but unfortunately the home was destroyed. The White Rabbit was finally seen visiting the Queen of Hearts at a ceremony she was holding at the end of the movie, and that was revealed as the event which he was late in attending. Thompson voiced characters in the Disney animated films "Peter Pan", "Sleeping Beauty" and "Lady and the Tramp".
2. I was amazed by Wonderland. Who voiced me?

Answer: Kathryn Beaumont

Beaumont, a native of London, England, lent her voice to Alice. Alice slipped down a rabbit hole and she soon entered the land of Wonderland and was amazed at all it had to offer her. The first people she met in Wonderland were Tweedledee and Tweedledum but they annoyed her, so she walked away from them.

There was one emotional scene involving Alice where she cried about how she seldom followed advice. Other people in Wonderland who Alice met were the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, the Caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat and more.

She also met a bunch of talking flowers, many of whom were snooty to her. At the end of the movie, it was revealed that Alice's adventure in Wonderland was nothing more than a dream. Beaumont starred in the movies "The Secret Garden" (1949), "On an Island with You" and "It Happened One Sunday".
3. I smoked in front of Alice. Who voiced me?

Answer: Richard Haydn

Haydn, born in 1905 in Camberwell, London, England, voiced the Caterpillar. After Alice got done with the snooty flowers, she proceeded throughout Wonderland and noticed some smoke in the sky, so she followed the smoke and came upon the Caterpillar. The Caterpillar asked her a couple of times who she was while smoking in front of her, and the smoke formed letters such as R and U.

At one point, the Caterpillar transformed into a butterfly and gave Alice advice to use mushrooms to help her. Right after this, the Caterpillar flew away. Haydn was seen in the films "The Sound of Music", "Young Frankenstein" and "Clarence, the Cross-Eyed Lion".
4. I had my men chop off a couple of people's heads. Who voiced me?

Answer: Verna Felton

Felton lent her voice to the Queen of Hearts in "Alice in Wonderland". The Queen of Hearts only appeared at the end of the film when Alice made her way to the Queen's castle. The Queen of Hearts went to her garden and noticed that someone had painted her white roses red, so she wanted to know who did this.

She realized that a couple of playing cards (the playing cards were anthropomorphic) painted her roses red, so she shouted to her man to chop their heads off. Alice and the Queen of Hearts played a game of croquet by using flamingos to hit the ball.

In the Queen of Hearts' final scene, she put Alice on trial and then decided at the end of the trial that Alice's punishment would be her losing her head. Alice then ran away from the Queen of Hearts and her men to avoid her punishment. Felton voiced characters in the Disney animated movies "Cinderella", "Sleeping Beauty" and "The Jungle Book".
5. I was a lizard. Who voiced me?

Answer: Larry Grey

Grey voiced Bill the lizard in "Alice in Wonderland". Bill was seen when Alice was in the White Rabbit's home and got so big that she took up all the space in the home. The White Rabbit said that he needed a lizard with a ladder in order to solve this predicament and that was where Bill came in to help.

The Dodo was also there and asked Bill if he had ever been down a chimney. Bill stated that he had been down so many chimneys that he could not count them all. The Dodo then told Bill that all he had to do was go down the chimney and pull "the monster" out of there. Grey was seen in the films "Mr. Celebrity" and "Private Parts".

He also guest starred on the TV show "Great Performances".
6. I told Alice to listen to her history lesson. Who voiced me?

Answer: Heather Angel

Angel, born on February 9th, 1909 in Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, lent her voice to Lorina, Alice's older sister. Lorina was seen in the opening scene reading a history book to Alice but she showed disinterest in it. Lorina chided Alice and asked her to pay attention to her history lesson but Alice said she did not care for books with no pictures in them. Lorina informed Alice there were a great deal of good books in the world without pictures.

In the final scene of the movie, Alice awoke from her dream about Wonderland and started talking gibberish to Lorina. Angel starred in the movies "The Informer", "It Happened in New York" and "The Headline Woman".
7. I told Alice that she should celebrate her unbirthday. Who voiced me?

Answer: Ed Wynn

Wynn, a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, voiced the Mad Hatter. Near the end of the movie, Alice came upon the Mad Hatter and the March Hare having a tea party and she joined them. The Mad Hatter was unique in that he wore a hat which had a little tag on it that read "10/6".

The Mad Hatter told Alice that she should celebrate something called an unbirthday, which meant to celebrate a day when it was not her birthday. The Mad Hatter asked Alice to solve a riddle about a raven and a writing desk, but then he would not let her solve it. Eventually, Alice left the party once she got tired of both the Mad Hatter and the March Hate. Wynn was seen in the films "Mary Poppins", "Those Calloways" and "Babes in Toyland".
8. I put food items into the White Rabbit's watch. Who played me?

Answer: Jerry Colonna

Colonna, born in 1904 in Boston, Massachusetts, lent his voice to the March Hare. The March Hare and the Mad Hatter were celebrating their unbirthdays when Alice came upon their party and sat down, to which both of them scolded her for attending a party without receiving an invitation.

The March Hare was seen pouring Alice a cup of tea multiple times but Alice never got a chance to enjoy the tea. Shortly after this, the White Rabbit came to the tea party and the March Hare wrongfully claimed that his watch was broken.

The March Hare turned it over to open it up and fix it and his way of fixing it was to put food items, such as jelly, all over the watch. This caused the watch to completely break and be beyond repair. Colonna guest starred on the TV series "The Monkees", "Climax!" and "The Christophers".
9. I advised Alice to get a key so she could enter Wonderland. Who played me?

Answer: Joseph Kearns

Kearns, born on February 12th, 1907 in Salt Lake City, Utah, voiced the Doorknob. Right before Alice could get into Wonderland, she had to go through a locked door and the Doorknob told her she should get the key. Alice asked him where the key was so he pointed to the key, which was atop a table. Alice was too small to climb up there so she asked the Doorknob for more help.

He informed her to open a nearby box and there were cookies in the box. A note told Alice to take a bite out of a cookie and she did but this caused her to become too big and the Doorknob laughed at her. Alice began to cry and the tears were big enough to create a flood of water so the Doorknob then told her to lick a bottle which he saw. Alice licked the bottle and became small again and this allowed her to go through the Doorknob's mouth. Kearns was seen in the movies "Anatomy of a Murder", "The Gift of Love" and "Hard, Fast and Beautiful".
10. I told Alice that all paths in Wonderland led straight to the Queen of Hearts' castle. Who voiced me?

Answer: Sterling Holloway

Holloway, a native of Cedartown, Georgia, lent his voice to the Cheshire Cat. Midway through the movie, Alice was going through Wonderland and she came upon the Cheshire Cat. She asked him to help her choose which way to go so the Cheshire Cat told her she could go a variety of ways.

Then, he informed her that all ways led to the Queen of Hearts' castle. There was one instance where the Cheshire Cat managed to stand on his head. The Cheshire Cat had two scenes in the entire movie where he gave Alice advice.

He was the last person Alice saw right before she got on the path to the Queen of Hearts' castle. Holloway had roles in the films "Robin Hood of Texas", "Trail to San Antone" and "A Walk in the Sun".
