Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. At which position did the band's fourth album 'Overcome' debut on the Billboard 200 album sales charts?

Answer: 16th

Their first two albums, 'Behind Silence And Solitude' and 'This Darkened Heart', did not reach the chart at all. However, their third album 'The Fall Of Ideals' peaked at the 75th spot. On the same week that "Overcome" was released, the top five positions on the chart were occupied by Slipknot, Jessica Simpson, Kid Rock, Young Jeezy, and Metallica (in order from fifth to first).
2. Co-founder and lead singer Phil Labonte was the original singer of another well known heavy metal band. After recording one full album with them, he decided to leave. What is the name of that other band?

Answer: Shadows Fall

Phil left Shadows Fall in 1998 after doing vocals for the album 'Somber Eyes To The Sky'. He was replaced by Brian Fair, former singer for the band Overcast. The other founder of All That Remains is guitarist Oli Herbert.
3. 'Trust in me the way I trusted you, I know we could have done this together...' These lyrics are the incomplete chorus to which All That Remains song?

Answer: Forever In Your Hands

The missing lines are :
'Believe in me like I believed in you
My heart would be forever in your hands'.

'Forever in Your Heads' was a single on the 'Overcome' CD. 'Overcome' was released in September 2008.

If you chose 'Oops! I Did It Again', I would like to say that I worked really hard on this quiz and frown upon your utter disregard for my efforts. :-) However, if it was an honest mistake, 'Oops! I Did It Again' is the title of an early Britney Spears song.
4. Who joined the band during the recording of 'The Fall Of Ideals' as the new bassist?

Answer: Jeanne Sagan

The replacement for former member Matt Deis, Jeanne Sagan joined the band after having previously playing for other bands such as the Acacia Strain, Ligeia, and Light is the Language. She was born in 1979 and, like the others from All That Remains, is from Massachusetts.
5. All That Remains named one of their songs 'Chiron'. What is the definition of Chiron that has nothing to do with astronomy?

Answer: A character found in Greek mythology

Spelled 'kheiron' in Greek, it is also the name of an asteroid located in our solar system. In mythology, Chiron was a wise centaur god, son of Cronus (also spelled Cronos).
6. In the video for 'The Air That I Breathe', one of the band members is seen wearing a t-shirt promoting which band?

Answer: Arch Enemy

The video was filmed by Darren Doane in a southern California desert. The member wearing the shirt is lead guitarist Oli Herbert, while Mike Martin is seen sporting a 'The Misfits' t-shirt.
7. In an All That Remains music video, a woman in a white dress is trapped in an underground maze of tunnels. As the band plays in another room in that same maze, we watch as the woman follows a sort of light and runs toward safety (aboveground). This is the description of the official video to which song?

Answer: This Calling

The video was filmed by Raging Nation Films in 2006 and directed by Frankie Nasso. This song is featured in the album 'The Fall Of Ideals', from the time when All That Remains was signed with Prosthetic Records.
8. Some members of All That Remains have publicly discussed their financial troubles. In an interview with 'Revolver' magazine, published in September of 2006, one band member says that she worked at a fast-food restaurant just to get by after the release of the second album. Which restaurant?

Answer: Dunkin' Donuts

While Jeanne was busy making donuts, Oli (guitarist) was giving guitar lessons, Phil (singer) worked at a store in a mall while living in his mom's basement, and Mike (guitarist) was working at his parent's liquor store. It was not the typical life of a band who had just released a top-selling record!
9. Which of these songs, written by All That Remains, does not contain vocals?

Answer: Regret Not

'Regret Not' is found on the second album 'This Darkened Heart'. 'Shading' and 'Clarity' are both songs from the first album 'Behind Silence and Solitude', while 'Days Without' is provided by the album 'Overcome'.
10. The track 'Believe In Nothing' is a cover of which legendary thrash metal band?

Answer: Nevermore

The original version can be heard on Nevermore's album 'Dead Heart in a Dead World' released in 2000. Paradise Lost (gothic/doom/death metal) has also done a cover of 'Believe In Nothing'.
