5. "Denny was the king, he'd rock the place, Dressed like a working girl from outer space" What tune is this lyric from?

Answer: Glitter Years

"Glitter Years", was written by bassist Michael Steele, who also provided the vocals to this song. The "Everything" song describes a time in the early 70's, back when Steele was still a part of another early all girl band, The Runaways. In an interview, she describes the experience, "So after the whole Runaway experience, I was like, 'I will never do another all girl band. Ever!' I guess uh, never say never."
6. "50, 60, 70, 80, 90 Gotta be a place where they can't find me Watchin' all those bridges burn behind me" What rockin' song is this lyric from?

Answer: Crash And Burn

Sung by Vicki Peterson, this song is known for being played at the infamous Houston Road Concert. The band and all the fans were packed on a brand new overpass in Houston, and one song got all the fans moving in sync. The overpass started to move back and forth, and at one point Susanna Hoffs had had enough, taking her guitar off right in the middle of the stage and walking off.
7. "It's there when he walks, there when he smiles, Kisses your cheek, disappears for a while Nothin' in the world's gonna cramp his style" What Banglerific song is this line out of?

The 9th track on the album "All Over The Place" is sung by Susanna Hoffs, the rhythm guitarist. The song is one of the most recognizable of the album, with a prominent opening guitar riff.
8. "Say my name, sun shines through the rain My whole life, so lonely, then you come and ease the pain" Please tell me you know this one! What Bangles mega hit contains these words?

Answer: Eternal Flame

Four months after this single climbed the charts and stopped at number one, the Bangles had a split that had them apart for a decade. The band attributed the split to lack of communication, loss of control over management, relentless touring schedules, and feeling estranged from a lot of the music they were making. Guitarist Vicki Peterson talks about it in an interview for a "Behind The Music" Bangles episode: "Eternal Flame is a beautiful song. Why are we doing it? Whitney Houston could have a hit with it."
9. Who hasn't danced to this hit? Here's an easy one: "All the old paintings on the tombs, They do the sand dance, don't you know, If they move too quick, They falling down like a domino" If you know the Bangles, you know this song! Come on, what song is this lyric from?

Answer: Walk Like An Egyptian

This "Different Light" song is really what makes the Bangles memorable. Ironically, this is also the song the band felt the most estranged from. This is because they were made to "audition" for verses. Although Debbi Petersong, the drummer, was originally supposed to sing the entire song, producer David Kahne decided against the original plan and distributed the three verses to the other band members.

This caused friction, and the band has cited this as a reason for their breakup.
10. "So, you come and go, Well good day, don't waste any time, Oh, your life today, It's all familiar, soon you will find" What Bangles song brought these feel-good lyrics to life?

Answer: Live

Written by Emitt Rhodes, this "All Over The Place" song is sung by lead guitarist Vicki Peterson. This song slightly broadens the Bangles' horizon, as it leans into country rock. Because drummer Debbi Peterson's chances to sing lead vocals were scarce, especially before "Everything" was released, Vicki Peterson sometimes gave lead vocals to Debbi Peterson in concert.
11. This one's a bit different. The title fills in the blank of the song's chorus. What song is this? "__________________________, With a love that I can't hide, I've got one thing on my mind, Yeah, I'll even sacrifice my pride"

Answer: Walking Down Your Street

This "Different Light" song was released as a single with "Angels Don't Fall In Love" as the B side. The last "Different Light" single also had a video which showed the Bangles as a neighborhood band (known as "The Love Beats"), who won a contest to go to California and play a concert with rock and roll legend, Little Richard.

The video has appearances of both Little Richard, and also Randy Quaid, who pulls up next to the Bangles' van as they stop for an impromptu band practice.
12. "I said: Hey there, Where you going with that UB40 in your hand" What "All Over The Place" song has this lyric?

Answer: Going Down To Liverpool

Although "Going Down To Liverpool" is often identified as one of the Bangles' signature songs, it is actually a cover. The original was actually done by Katrina And The Waves, written by band member Kimberly Rew (He also wrote "Walking On Sunshine" for Katrina And The Waves").

The Bangles also made a promotional music video, directed by Susanna Hoffs' mother. It showed the band being driven to a concert, and singing the song along to the radio. Leonard Nimoy, of "Star Trek" made a cameo as the driver.
13. "I've seen the shadows fall, Colors that fade on my wall" This is the opening lyric of which "Everything" song?

Answer: Some Dreams Come True

Debbi Peterson, the drummer, sang the song, and also wrote it with Walker Igleheart. The duo also worked together to write "Be With You", another "Everything" song that Debbi Peterson provides lead vocals for.
14. Fill in the missing words in this fractured lyric: "Hey, you better listen, Cause, I'm warning you, _______________________ With a complicated girl"

Answer: Love is never simple

Complicated Girl was written by Michael Steele, the bassist, and she also provides the vocals for this "Everything" song. She has explained in concert that the song was inspired by a good friend of hers who was dating a "Complicated Girl".
15. This song was their very first recognition, so I'll give you a bit of a longer sample: "Look me right in the eye, Tell me I'm the one that you love Fall back into your lies, Forgettin' how determined I was" What is the song that contained these lyrics, that really got the Bangles into the big game?

Answer: Getting Out Of Hand

This song was recorded when the lineup was still the Peterson sisters, Susanna Hoffs, and their first bassist Annette Zilinskas. After this, they came out with an EP, that had the catchy garage band beat showcased in "The Real World", "Mary Street", and "Want You". In this EP, they truly sound like a female version of The Beatles.
